We had a great time. Inside was quite loud. Too loud for us to have a conversation. We sat outside and only had to deal with the flies. The food was great! Everything we had was super. The waitress did great in spite of being crazy busy. We only had a 10 minute wait.
If you're in the middle of nowhere, stop in and eat here.
The absolute best chicken sandwich I have ever had! The onion rings I had with it were hot and crispy (and a generous portion). Add in the generous pour of cabernet and you have a perfect dining experience!
This place is a MUST every week. Prime rib is amazing! The bbq ribs are great! Custom drinks and accommodating staff. Live music now and then. Pull tabs. Great juke box. Three T.V.s at the bar. Make a reservation to avoid the wait.
Shockingly great food! The staff was happy and vibing, service was wonderful. We had the mozzarella sticks, the ribeye and the prime rib. Everything was so good! Cooked perfectly!
Food was fresh and hot. Service was a touch slow, but she seemed to be the only server. Nice little out of the way place.
Celebrated Valentine’s Day. We had reservations and the server, food, atmosphere was great! We really liked the selections of the appetizer to the main course. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Everything was delicious. Thank you.
Its a rare occasion we are able to go out for a nice dinner and enjoy ourselves having 3 teenagers but when we do we like to try places we have never been! Tonight we chose the Backroads Tavern and let me tell you... we were NOT disappointed. A relaxing, scenic 45 min drive from angola resulted in the best meal we have had out in a long while. The cheese sticks were pretty darn close to "world famous" as our amazing waiter Chris stated. Followed up by the most tender waygu steak with crispy brussel sprouts and loaded fries! Not a single thing I could have done better had I made it myself at home! Drinks were nice and strong, atmosphere was pleasing. However... what made us want to rant and rave about this dining experience was the service we received. From the moment we walked thru the door we were greeted with a smile. Chris was attentive, personable, knowledgeable. He cared enough about his customers and the service he provided to the point we felt he had to be the owner! THAT folks is what makes me WANT to come back to an establishment! Job WELL DONE Backroads Tavern and Chris! Thank you for a very enjoyable evening!
Food was good but waitresse's selection of a t-shirt with a saying starting with F--k and the next line starting with S--t was, in my mind, inappropriate and crude, for an eating establishment. I can find other eating venues that have good food without being overtly foul. Obviously the owners were OK with it
