This was a definite mixed bag for me. The food seemed to swing from really good to 'no thanks.' The smoked chicken had a good flavor but was a bit dry for me. Would recommend the BBQ sauce. The baked beans were delicious, imo the best thing of the meal. The atmosphere was great for me, but I could see why it might be unappealing for others. It is on the lake and kind of resembles a bait shop, I really liked it, but definitely not for everyone. Not a fan of the peanut butter pie, thought the top portion was bland and the peanut butter section too dense, but to each their own.
I love the fact that we always end up in some one off place in our travels. I’m not big at going to franchise restaurants, so I found this off the beaten path and we had quite the cute little drive by a lake to get here. The food the atmosphere, the hospitality, and the uniqueness were well worth it. And some amazing southern cooking. You will love this place. The prices are good I highly recommend.

This is definitely the spot for homecooked food. The red beans were delicious and the cornbread was the real thing !! The ribs were fall off the bone tender with lots of meat. The cole slaw was creamy and the baked beans had just a touch of jalapeño flavor without the heat...excellent!! They also cooked their own pork skins, which were hot and delicious....Set on a beautiful lake, this is a true hidden gem !!! I will definitely be back !!
This is a small BBQ restaurant located on the edge of Lake Linville. The food is average but at a fair price. Sitting on the back deck you can eat overlooking the lake and small marina. The indoor dining area is small and feels cramped. The service was fast and friendly. The waitresses were happy to offer their favorite menu items. After talking to some other customers, it seems to be a local favorite. Decorating the walls are some autographed pictures of a few country music singers who have also enjoyed their visit. Overall not a bad place to dine. Plan on spending $25-$30 for two people.
The portions you get for the price you pay cannot be beat anywhere... You most definitely get your money's worth here. Staff is very pleasant and down to earth sweet. The food is absolutely to die for especially the fried ho cakes (corn bread patties for anyone who ain't familiar)!!!
The food was awesome. The meat had a good smoky flavor and was tender. It was cooked to perfection. The ribs may have been the best part of it all. They are the best ribs I've ever gotten from a restaurant.The chicken tenders were great too. And finally let's talk about the bbq sauce! It was sweet and delicious.
By far the best restaurant around Renfro Valley. Every item we ordered was delicious. We couldn't wait to go back for breakfast which did not disappoint. Staff was wonderful made us feel so at home. Can't wait to go back!!!!!
