The food was amazing, service was great (our waitress was awesome), and we loved the atmosphere! Portion sizes were also generous. I deduct a star because there is a surcharge for using a credit card ????
I have been here multiple times when going up to the lake house. The food on the menu is average to iffy. First time I went the chicken in my tacos tasted like fish. Got the quesadilla appetizer and wasn't a fan of the flavor it was very bland and just tasted like light taco seasoning. Had a salad also and lettuce was browning and had some very slimy rotting pieces throughout. Gave them a chance a few more times but I'm not impressed with the food or the service. I will say though one time I went last year and they had funnel cake fries with apples those were VERY good. Reason for 3 stars. Noticed menu has changed some though. Will give them another chance this weekend for memorial Day and see what I think.
I loved the view while eating amazing food served by generous staff. My 1 year old and I felt welcome and not out of place they even had highchairs for different tables so even if we sat at a high-top table my son would have been easily accommodated. The food was incredible! I can't wait to go back!
We heard good things, gave it a try. Wow! Great food! We struggle to find good restaurants in the area. This place has creative food that's delicious! Wait staff was very friendly. I can't wait to go back and try some more! Thanx Back Door for being inventive with your menu and caring about how your food looks and tastes!
the atmosphere, food, service are all amazing
our bartender Samme (sorry not sure how she spells it ) was the absolute best!!!! she gave drink suggestions and was so nice. the place was packed and so busy but she still made us feel like a priority.

This place is really good. We came from out of town and someone suggested this place to us so we gave it a shot and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a Bahama Mama to drink and it was really tasty. We must have had a different bartender than the other reviewers or they had good training since then lol.
We also ordered the fried pickles (good)
Santa Fe Chicken Egg Roll (Yummy)
Bang Bang Shrimp (amazing and my favorite)
Fish Tacos (bland, soggy batter, and nothing exciting except the sauce).
Service was great and when we arrived it was a "seat yourself" atmosphere so we sat right next to the window and got a view of the lake. If we come back to this area, we will definitely stop in again.
Stopped here in a whim on the way up from the thumb area to Torch Lake. Let me just say, we'll be back again! The brussel sprout app was probably one of if not the best variations I've ever had. Delicious, and a good size helping; suitable for 3 or more people to start with- easily. The Yum Yum Bowl was just as the name describes: Yum Yum! My wife got the turkey spin dip sandwich with fries- awesome as well!
Staff were friendly and responsive. The views of the lake are great too! Next time, I'm hoping we'll make it when the patio/deck is open! Looking forward to it!
Loved my experience, Kelsey was the best server will definitely make the trip out again to go here. The food was amazing plenty of good options and the drinks were great!!
