The dressing was great—Turkey was inside, flavorful and moist! That’s what I came for. I enjoyed the Carmel cake, too. It was enough to save for later. The texture of the greens were good and they weren’t seasoned with a lot of salt. That allowed me to season it the way I wanted. (I added my own cranberry sauce.)

The staff are kind and helpful and the food is delicious. I had the smothered meatloaf and mashed potatoes with greens and cornbread $16. She actually made the potatoes on the spot for me. How nice! The meatloaf melts in your mouth. It was all so good that I made a taster plate for my roommate. He loves it too.

Customer service is awesome! I mean that too....food is really good and very tasty ???? I really enjoy coming here if it's not right they will make it right!????

Everything was delicious! I had the fried pork chop and short rib dinners with dressing, greens, dirty rice and baked beans. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. It was a good experience and they're pretty fast too! I waited maybe 20 minutes at the most (the pork chops were fried fresh). They were out of ribs, rib tips, catfish, sweet potatoes and mac & cheese (after 6pm on Mother's Day so not a surprise). I recommend going earlier for the best selection of soulfood. I appreciate good seasoning on good flavors with great customer service! I will be back ❤️ We smashed alll the food so no pics but I did make my way back to my favorite dessert, Peach Cobbler. It's good, but I was sad to learn that there were more apples than peaches in it. It does taste more like peach cobbler than apple pie though. ????

We placed an order with Doordash only to find that they are no longer accepting Doordash orders. And they were sold out of ribs. Happy Mother's Day!

I have lived on every coast of this country, I've traveled many different states and I'm a huge foodie, also used to be a BBQ pitmaster for a while but I got out of the restaurant industry, I missed good barbecue food I miss good food, this place right here has some of the best barbecue I've ever tasted. Straight up, everything from scratch and homemade and you can tell it's made with love and made with passion for food. This place rocks!!

Rib was spectacular an tender the chicken was perfectly cooked. My intention was not to get any sides meat only, so the lady offer me 2 free sides an cornbread. When I got home all the way to Harperwoods I ate my food. I was so disappointed that I didn't get any sides the Mac an cheese was so good an the greens was very good I wanted more cornbread. More of everything. The BBQ sauce had me licking my fingers. So after eating getting full an satisfied I went to sleep only to wake up at midnight an eat more ribs. Only mad at my self that I didn't get any sides but only because I didn't know how good it would be. So after being totally satisfied with everything I decided in the afternoon I'm gonna drive west to get more but to my disappointment they was close I was hurt because I wanted those sides an I wanted to tell the lady thank you an I love the Mac an cheese, greens an cornbread. A custom was returning to get more cake which the last slice. Another customer in the lobby said everything was good an this is the only place she get bbq from. I should have taken her word. But now I know I will gladly spread the good news that this place is all that an you want be disappointed . I plan to return on Thursday 9/7/23 an only because there close on Wednesday.
