Best WLM Reviews

Their food was pretty good, about a 4 star rating. The owner was fairly rude and kept hurrying us along. It was our first time at the restaurant, so if we wanted to take a few minutes to figure out what we wanted, I don't see anything wrong with it. The process is that you order at the counter inside and then they seat you. We got there around 9 am on a Sat morning and it wasn't too busy. We ordered two shakshukas, a Moroccon stew and a twist on an American breakfast that I can't remember. The food was pretty good. It was a little bit on the salty side for my taste but overall, we liked it. The portions were decent so I took half of mine home. My hot chocolate was ok. I really wish the service had been nicer so that we could've had a more pleasant experience.
Parking is up front and it is paid.
The best hole in the wall restaurant! If you’re lucky enough to meet the owner, your day will completely be made. Do not miss out on this place if you’re nearby!
I really enjoyed my meal here! Our host/server was very informative and welcoming. He walked us through the main brunch dishes based on our preferences. I'm glad I listened because my Shashuka was fabulous! Very tasty with a little spice. Lovely place with the art work and relaxing atmosphere.
This was my first time at Babs, and the food and atmosphere was fantastic! I appreciated having breakfast/brunch choices beyond the typical omelettes, basic eggs and bacon plates, and pancakes. I ordered the shakshuka, which was delicious, and paired it with coffee (also delicious...not your typical watered down breakfast spot coffee).
The staff was very nice and attentive, and Randy was a treat: he offered helpful suggestions and took the time to answer all questions about the menu. Note that Randy is direct, and tells it like it is. Perhaps that is intimidating to some, but I find it refreshing.
I can see why Babs is an institution, and I will be back!
RARE GEM. PERFECT BREAKFAST. RANDY IS PERFECT- his recommendations were exactly what we wanted. LISTEN to him: his experience and time are valuable. He is the best at customer service and I love that he has no problem calling out rude/entitled guests BECAUSE he’s the BEST. SO after ordering, my wife and I were ushered to our table and our drink orders were already waiting, and they were Perfect. Our food came out 5 minutes later and it was Perfect. We purchased some chutney and fruitcake- Perfect. One word description of this establishment: PERFECT. I felt better about the world after leaving this place. You must see this extremely HI QUALITY restaurant filled with unique personality and flavor.
We were in Atlanta for the weekend, and arrived at Bab’s by pure happenstance. The entire experience was amazing. Upon arrival, the owner working the front counter went over the menu with us and then proceeded to completely annihilate one of the guys in our party, roasting him for ordering what he called the kids menu. To say it was the highlight of the trip would not be an over exaggeration. The mimosas were perfect, the food was superb- from the basic plate that we ordered, to the lamb dish that my husband ventured to try. If you have a good sense of humor and a personality you will love this place- if not, I’d say you are better off finding a Denny’s down the road.
Amazing breakfast. Delicious home-style cooking. I predict I will try to eat here every time I'm in Atlanta from now on based on the food. And nicest owner in the universe, who happily and generously served me and my buddy an amazing breakfast when we cluelessly showed up on a Monday morning *when they were closed*. I will not count on this almost absurd level of generosity in the future, but it gives you an indication of how special this place is.
We initially chose this restaurant based on it being dog friendly and the name Babs.
We knew upon arrival that it was a great decision. We were welcomed by 3 staff members and the gentleman at the counter swiftly explained the menu and gave us great recommendations. (He also had very fun banter with us and others)
Simply put, this was one of the better “lowkey” dining experiences in a long time. We will be back on our next ATL visit.
