This is one of my go-to places, I've been coming here since they first opened. My experience has always been a great one. I can't say that I've ever experienced the discomfort from the braids being too tight because if that was the case, I wouldn't keep returning. For me I would describe it as the "to be expected tightness" that only lasts a day or 2. But everyone's experience will be different. The people have always been friendly to me and I always leave happy with my hairstyle. In the recent times that I've came, I was able to get right in the chair. I usually come earlier in the week.
THEY HAVE ROACHES -HORRIBLE DISGUSTING PLACE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE-They have roaches and pallets on the floor where their employees sleep. The floor was full of trash and big clumps of hair. I booked an appointment and waited 30 minutes and was told repeatedly 5 more minutes. It took 5 hrs to do 12 feed in braids. Then I was never told what forms of payment they accept until after my hair was finished. I gave majority of the payment in cash and asked if the take Apple Cash. Very rude response and once I said I didn’t have the apps they accepted I was told by the owner that she was going to call the police on me. Literally had to go find someone to Apple Pay the rest of the portion.
I have gotten my hair braided here a few times. Always satisfied. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are getting the style you want. I had two newer braiders today and was equally impressed and satisfied with their work. It's always just a little tight for the first day but not unbearable.

I USUAL love this place, I’ve come here many many yrs. The owner and 2 other ladies have always done my hair great, except a time or two BUT my last visit I had the “new” ladies. My complaint is the amount of product build up I have in my hair right now as I take my braids down from all of the off brand Jam that they put in my hair(yes I’ve washed my hair and went swimming) they braid to tight and take entirely to long. If the owner isn’t available I won’t have my hair braided by this shop.
I went to get human hair braids done by Marie. I came with my own hair because I wanted them straight and they only had wavy. After about 10-15 braids she stopped and showed me that the hair I had wasn’t any good. It was shredded and my own hair was actually longer than the braid hair one it was installed. She recommended the store next door because I was dropped off to my appointment. I went and grabbed more hair but they only had one pack. Marie walked over to the hair store with me and showed me the hair to get. It was cheaper in price and better quality than what I had. She took those other braids out and started over. She was done in a reasonable amount of time and she braided my hair alone! I will definitely be going back ☺️
My experience was okay. They were professional.. BUT the amount of hair they use for 1 braid isn't good. I've lost 4 braids because the weave was too heavy for my hair... I'd recommend, but you definitely need to tell them not to take your edges with them.
Walked in to make an appointment with a picture of what I wanted done. I was given an appointment time and a price. Day of my appointment the stylist was an hour late and then they wanted to charge a complete different price then what the OWNER quoted me. Place is dirty and stylist tried to go from one client to another without washing her hands. Still didnt give me the style I wanted but was not going to sit for another 4 hours while they fixed it. Do not recommend
