This is a classic carry out, its has a real family feel to it. Plenty of options to choose from. I ordered the onion rings with the steak & cheese. The onion rings could have been better, no flavor or seasoning they were crispy though. The steak & cheese was cooked well but also could have used some seasoning. Overall I enjoyed my meal I will return, i wanna try some other menu options.
My order was taken incorrectly inside for my hot food and again outside for the ice cream. My onion rings were visibly burnt.
For a country carryout, it's awesome. The food is good, price not bad and to top it off ice-cream. If you are in the area, try it out. I'm sure you will like it.
Apparently, a well-known staple in the area. So I decided to check it out. I ordered a turkey club with fries. Fries were pretty good. The turkey is roasted every day I believe, which is a plus, and it was stacked with a great amount of bacon. Took a couple of bites and noticed a long blonde strand of hair in my sandwich. ????!! $13.00 wasted. Sandwich in the trash. My job involves travel, now I have to go somewhere else and spend more money for lunch because I have now left the area and can't get back to Accokeek.
They USED to be good so I understand some of the high ratings. Their price hike was one that threw me off. $22 (20.09 plus tax) for a steak and cheese sandwich is absolutely crazy. It wasn’t even good. The fries tasted old, maybe they need to change their grease, so I asked for fresh fries and that female with the blonde hair offered to warm them up or I had to pay for fresh fries. Seriously, who wants microwaved overpriced French fries? She has a nasty attitude, they threw my fries away without giving me a chance to weigh my options and really thought I was going to pay for them. The manager on duty said they’d replace them for free but gave me the fries that was dropped in fish grease. At this point to decided to never go back. They charge restaurant prices with ghetto McDonalds customers service. The price does not match the quality of food or service.
I have been riding past this place for a while and decided to stop by and see what it was about. I wish I kept driving by!!! Ordered a half smoke, and it was a hot dog. The cheese steak tasted terrible and smelled old. One bite, and I spit it out. The fries were old. The big thing after that is I spent $35 for this trash. Overpriced and underrated!!! DONT NOT GO HERE!!! SPEND YOU MONEY ELSEWHERE!!! ????
Love this place. Vinegar base NC style barbecue is outstanding. Onion rings are the best. They always have good deserts as well. The worst thing about retiring is I don’t pass this place as often as I use too.
Wow is all I can say. Not only are the staff super friendly, the food is fresh and amazing. Ordered Jumbo burger with Fries and Chili. I cant believe I am admitting this but... I got emotional eating the burger because it was sooooo good!!! (I hardly get that way over food unless it's a 10 and they are definitely a 10). We will be coming back to try other things off of their menu!
