Best WLM Reviews
I recently visited Azul for their Selena Birthday Brunch and had a mixed experience. The positives definitely deserve a shoutout:
Great Ambiance: We were lucky to snag an outdoor table, and the atmosphere was lovely.
Attentive Service: Our server was friendly, checked in regularly, and made us feel welcome.
Tasty Drinks & Apps: The cocktails were well-made, and the appetizers arrived quickly and hit the spot.
Unfortunately, there was one major downside that affected our experience:
Slow Entree Service: Our main courses took an exceptionally long time to arrive. A two-hour brunch stretched into three hours, which became frustrating.
Would I go back? Probably. The food, when it finally came, was good, and I'd love to give Azul another chance on a less busy day. I hope they can address the kitchen delays, as a smoother overall experience would make this a top-notch brunch spot.
We came here for Restaurant Week 2024. This was an excellent value, with a large appetizer, an entree, and a dessert for $42. It came out to $55 with a service charge and surcharge.
The chips were thick and crispy, well fried, and the pulled chicken broth had excellent flavors and a good spice to it.
The skirt steak was pretty solid, again a good amount of food on the plate and the corn tortillas were awesome to make mini tacos.
My friend ordered the red snapper - it was a full fish, breaded with plenty of bones. Overall it didn’t look a lot of fun to eat and I don’t think he would have ordered it if he had known how it would have been served. If you want seafood I would go with the seafood enchilada (at least during restaurant week).
The dessert was presented very well, the churros had a great chew and the dough tasted fresh. The chocolate, almost coffee like ice cream in particular was a nice touch.
What I didn’t care for was the ambiance nor the parking nor the location, it just didn’t seem to match the mandatory valet parking outside and the overall sports bar aesthetic.
For a restaurant week meal it was a good value and combination of food.
Amazing! Will be coming back and drinks are sooo good! Amanda was our server and she was so nice. She made this a 10/10 experience and made sure we were taken care of
I love being greeted with a sample of margarita!
Patron Tower had more flavors than on the menu, so that through us off but the choices are nice. Hibiscus was sweeter than preferred, mango puree/juice is delicious.
I would only return for drinks, the food was nothing to rave about. My seafood flautas had almost nothing in them ????
No chips and salsa as you wait for food.
The server came around a bit too much, but was nice.
Dessert we had churros but didn't finish and would not have ordered if we knew they were stuff ????
Very good food and especially the drinks! Free margarita shot when we arrived. We celebrated a birthday at a table near the river which made it memorable. Tanya provided great service too. We will be back.
Trying new places can be scary because you never know if the food will be good or not. I spent a total of $150 at Azul today and I can say a few things were worth the money
Lets start with the mocktails $10 each can be a little over priced for some juice but it was worth the delicious blended taste of pomegranate 9/10
The posole was a 10/10 !!! Spicy and delicious
The crab cakes were a 8/10
The Empanadas 10/10
The tacos can need some seasoning4/10
The Stuffed Pineapple was disappointing 2/10
$35 for half a pineapple is crazy
They didnt scoop enough pineapple out and they just filled it with 4 pieces of shrimp and cheese
I would definitely go again but next time i would know whats worth the money and whats not
The service was great, very attentive, and allowed us to change tables because the tall chairs were uncomfortable. We also got complimented with a mango margarita shot.
We did the restaurant week menu; the pozole had great flavor, but it comes with a spiciness that might leave you sweating. The crab cake was average, and I couldn't really taste that crab flavor. For the main course, we chose the red snapper with the azul sauce (spicy as well), and we opted for the sauce to be on the side , and it did not disappoint. The fish was fried to perfection, still juicy and crispy. The dessert was a churro and ice cream.
I'm not really a big mariscos person, but this restaurant would be at the top of my list if I had to go to one.
This is a great place for girls night!! Great margaritas, the seafood flautas were amazing. Amanda served me and my girls and she was so helpful and had great vibes!!! Definitely recommend.
