Best WLM Reviews
I love Azul Tequila and have been coming for years. Love the new decor and patio but I’m wondering if it’s new management? The food was great but service was ROUGH. We were told no when we asked for the music to be turned down. Why?! It was very slow. Every part was slow. Several of my friends had to take their food to go. One of my friends asked for only green sauce but got red and there was no effort to make it right. Our server was a bit rude and short on top of being slow and a bit inattentive. I’m hoping some of these issues can be addressed because this will be a great summer spot if so! Otherwise, just come with plenty of time and patience. The Azul Salad and Tortilla Soup were great! California burrito is huge and tasty! All the food got good reviews. Pricey but worth and even better if they can improve service.
First timer in the area and the restaurant. I live in Atlanta, so not aware that it was remodel but my service was good!
It’s very pretty and nicely decorated inside with soft music. I am vegan so me and my bf got the veggie fajita and the veggie enchiladas (no cheese) and my goodness EVERYTHING was so flavorful and HOT! The salsa was okay but instead opt for a different salsa which I believe is the salsa verde, the original salsa was kind of bland and watery.
We sat at the bar because the waiter almost sat us in the middle of two tables which are really close together which we didn’t like so we sat at the bar and our server was Deanna who was sweet and gave off shy vibes but long as the job gets done that’s all that matters.
The bathroom is pretty and clean, the only downside is no where to place your purse inside the stall so be mindful. The aesthetic is cute throughout and our food matched up to it which I enjoyed!! Overall great food and hopefully there is one closer to the city as we was here for a random ride for groceries
I went for lunch and enjoyed the food and service. I had no wait to be seated, our server was nice and attentive. The food came out quickly and tasted great! It is a good place to come on a lunch break during a work day, especially if you work close by like I do.
First time diners and pleased that we tried it out. Food was good as we had the seafood burrito, (which was huge) beef enchiladas, chicken chimichanga, and taco salad. Everyone like their entrees. Service was friendly, and fairly quick with order and check. We would certainly visit again.
This visit was a roll coaster. From the hostess with an attitude. To our incredibly sweet waiter trying as hard as he could. My husband and I waited over an hour for our food! The table next to us (who ordered after us and had a party of six!) somehow got their food before us! We finally had to give up and leave. The manager did nothing to try and accommodate the issue. We will never go back, waste of money for the drinks!
I’m going to start this by saying we are SO excited Azul Taqueria in peachtree city back open. I have also never, in my entire life, not tipped, nor tipped less than 20% - no matter how paltry the service, until tonight. I spent many years as a server and it’s a matter of decency for me.
We arrived at 6:15. 30-40 minute wait. No big deal- grabbed a margarita at the bar ($17+ unless they’re the classic house with mix.) I had the guava and it was amazing.
We were seated at about 6:45. I heard the hostess say she was switching our table to another hostess as the one originally assigned wasn’t available. We sat down- no roll-ups were laid down. And waited… and waited.. after 20 minutes I went to the bar and asked for a manager. It took her a little over 5 minutes to find him. I let him know and he said he’s be out with waters and chips immediately. He came over with chips a few minutes later with no waters, but took our food order. He never asked about drinks. 10 minutes later we hadn’t seen him again so I went to the bar. It was busy and I waited about 10 minutes for the bartender to be able to tend to me at which point the manager came to the bar to help her out. She told me she’d be with me in a few and about 5 minutes later the manager noticed me. He took our drink order and I went and sat back down. The sodas for my kids and some water came out and he told us our beer and margarita would be out soon. In the meantime the sprite was out of syrup so when we got our drinks we asked for a replacement. It never came. We still hadn’t seen the manager who decided to serve our table since he brought the waters and sodas (someone else brought the beer and margarita).
Our food finally arrived. The menu didn’t say if the tampequenia came with tortillas so my husband asked for a side of tortillas if it doesn’t. He had two orders of tortillas. My son’s California burrito didn’t have either of the side sauces it should have come with. We still didn’t have napkins or silverware. The person who delivered our food brought silverware about five minutes later after requesting it, but no sides for the burrito. We were finally all able to eat, and it was fantastic, but my son was out of water- the manager/ sever still nowhere to be found after half way through our meals. … so back to the bar I went. It took about 5 minutes for the bartender to figure out what to do and she finally gave me an orange soda. We were almost done with our meals when the manager finally came back over. I let him know about the silverware, sides, and drinks. He said “I know it’s been rocky- sorry about that. What else can I get? Do you want the sides for the burrito?” It was almost gone and we declined. We asked for the check and a box. About ten minutes later we got both. He had charged us for the extra tortillas, but didn’t charge for the sodas and took $10 off the bill. He removed the tortilla charge. After I felt like I had been the more than 50% the server for our table, I chose not to tip. The guilt is heavy, but the experience was worse.
Having been both a server and a manager at a restaurant… I was left really unsettled. I never comped items for my staff if things weren’t right unless the item was never received. I gave gift cards to ensure a return to try again and prove we were worthy… but that’s not everyone’s system and I understand that. I don’t expect free food, but I do expect communication and attentiveness once an issue is presented. We didn’t even have a chance to address issues until well after it was too late several times.
The food- 10/10. I got my fix and was very happy with it.
The service… you can judge, but if you love them- give them some time to work out the kinks. It’s one of our favorites and we will likely be back in a couple of months to try again… I’m sure they’re short staffed and training and retraining. But I just had to share for anyone else who may have never been and has a bad experience or a return customer so you don’t write it off completely. Growing pains are real.
Beautiful restaurant! Lousy everything else. Our waitress did the best she could, but it took forever to get our drinks, food and check. Food was only ok. Others at our table got the wrong order. Arrived at 12:30 and paid at almost 3pm. Manager only made excuses and gave a half hearted apology. Oh well. Lost a customer.
Tried this place again. Chips were cold. Service was slow. Food was mediocre. Cheese dip and guac were a great size. Server was nice but took over 10 minutes to bring us chips after the cheese and guac came so it just got cold. You can see in the picture that there aren’t chips…we eventually had to ask someone else. Wouldn’t go again. Also this was around 5 and the place was dead.
