Best WLM Reviews
Chicken Mole Burrito was solid.
Coffee was ok.
Food came out super fast which was great for a road trip. I’d stop here again.
I had the pleasure of eating here, the food was delicious. I ordered the carne asada, cooked very nicely & the sauce was actually spicy! Just the way I like it.
The price was very reasonable & I enjoyed my margarita. My waiter was lovely & attentive, will definitely be back!
Yum! Very happy with food and service. Everything came out hot and fresh and delicious!polite and pleasant service.
Its alright. You could tell that everything was homemade. I could have made it myself. Food tasted good. Nothing mind blowing. Very pricy, although the portions are a good size. Staff was nice and checked in on us regularly. We also went in close to closing time during a snow storm and they were kind enough to let us in. So five stars for that.
I was SOOO disappointed in Aztecas on Horizon the day before Mother's Day. The last review was excellent and now??? My husband and I were both so bloated and our tummys were blaaaah for 2 days!! Note: My mom liked her dinner so thats a good thing. The To-Go order was WRONG. The salad I ordered tasted like the lettuce was soaking in water all day. (Was it, Aztecas?). The tacos I ordered looked like enchiladas. Oh, thats because they WERE. I didn't bother telling them I ordered tacos. Never mind though....the enchiladas tasted like the salad. WATERY. BLAH!!!!!! NOT GOING BACK!
Everything was great????
The salsa was fresh and tasty.
My hubby got Chicken Crema dish and it was absolutely delicious.
I got tortilla soup, I will say it would have been better with shredded chicken, but it was still very good with chicken chunks.
Staff was very friendly.
I honestly believe the positive reviews of this restaurant are written by the owner and probably close friends and family. I ordered the Cielo Mar Y Tierra- a go to dish for myself at any new Mexican restaurant I am trying. Firstly, the flour tortillas are not even made by hand. Sure they don't advertise it but the sheer simplicity should warrant at least an attempt. The flour tortillas somehow taste worse than store bought or even Taco Bell for that matter.
The seasoning on the chicken was actually good but the chicken itself was way over cooked and really dry. I have zero clue why their are mushrooms on this plate at all or why the shrimp went over them.
Traditionally not a thing and a weird combination.
Shrimp seemed like they were boiled as they had a spongy consistency. Mushrooms are mushrooms, can't really mess that up but somehow they did.
There are about 3 different cook batches from what it seems since they ranged from being raw to over cooked. Lastly, I've never had carne asada be so greasy and have a weird consistency. My fork could not pierce the meat! What even is that? Haha. With everything said, service was amazing and food came out decently quick while they were half full.
Ambiance is extremely casual with some quiet music.
We love this place! The speed is amazing for a meal and our favorite pick in GJ. Best crispy chili rellenos in town (I'm picky!) and a great salsa with some great heat and flavor. It may not be considered "authentic" Mexican for critics but we love it!
