The work was so fantastic, that I received a very fair price when I sold the car, even taking into account diminished value. Probably the most honest, straightforward body shop in Houston. I was referred to this place as one of the best in the city and after seeing the cleanliness of the shop and the no BS approach to doing business, I’d definitely come back here. The owner let me know exactly what I should do, which meant money out of his pocket. Honesty in the car business is rare.

Thought this place did a great job on my rav 4 putting it back together after a pretty minor accident, but i just realized that back when Ayers fixed my car they replaced my battery with one that didn’t fit properly and rigged it to make it work. This all happened yesterday when my car wouldn’t start. It was the battery so i took the battery out of my car and realized the battery in my car didn’t fit properly and there was a plastic piece that had been placed under the battery to make it sit higher to be able to attach it to the rest of the car. Still not putting two and two together i brought the battery into OREILLY’s auto parts to get a replacement one which should have been free because i had just replaced my battery a couple months before my accident and it was under a year old. The guy behind the desk looked at it and told me this battery hadn’t been purchased there. So for some reason that i can’t figure out, when i had my car accident, Ayers removed my battery and replaced it with one they had salvaged from a wrecked car. My accident was mostly body damage so i can’t imagine that the impact ruptured the battery or destroyed it in some way but even if it had, to replace it with a battery that doesn’t even fit my car was really shocking and pretty disgraceful if you ask me.
2ed generation Ayers paint and body shop's Butch Ayers is a skilled estimator for insurance related work. His attention to detail is second to none and the finished product always looks great.
But I use this shop for my Thunderbirds and my customers Thunderbirds. His years of building and exhibiting show cars give him the experience necessary to win.
There are lots of good shops but this is my choice for show cars and nice weekend driver Thunderbirds.
