Disaster.
Sitting at the bar, took almost an hour to get our food....got it after asking for it. When we asked for it, we said it's been 45 minutes, the bartender said it's been 26 minutes. (he did not turn the order in timely) Took another 5 minutes so even by his clock.....over 30 minutes. Over 30 minutes for Mexican food.....not right.
People at the bar and in booths seated after us, received food prior to us. We had to request chips during the long wait. Requested the first serving and asked again during the wait.
When the bartender argued, I was ready to walk out (after paying for drinks). The other three wanted to wait it out......so we did.
Attached is a picture of my spinach quesadillas. Pretty much no cheese. You look, you decide.
During our over one hour stay, couple of us went to the restroom. Gross. Get out the garden hose and clean this up.
We have been to this joint five or six times.
NEVER AGAIN.
For $10 you can get a phenomenal lunch special, plus tortilla chips, and real salsa. My pictured burrito came with guacamole, sour cream, the usual fillings, rice, and refried beans. Covered outdoor dining is nice.
Everything tasted good. The guacamole could a been a little more "fresh", but was ok. The Coronas were nice and cold. My daughter LOVED her cheese enchiladas with the mild red sauce. The server was Super sweet and very attentive.
Took my mother there for mother's day, she wanted their margaritas. The place was very clean, and we had an amazing server. I ordered the seafood enchiladas and they were some of the best I've ever had. My mom got the seafood chimichunga and it was the same with hers. Everything fresh and delicious.
All staff were pleasant and friendly, the 4 of us got seated immediately (around 7pm on a Saturday!), food was served quickly, tasted great and portion sizes were just right and for the location was very reasonably priced.
Just ok. Table of six. A few got the Cadillac margarita. The drink was served with a mini bottle of grand marnier. The consensus was it was way to sweet and if you poured the entire mini in drink it completely overpowered it. Chips and salsa were fairly good. Ordered the chicken Supreme Burrito. The practically flat burrito was missing a few ingredients. The shredded chicken was stringy and overcooked. It was smothered in cheese and topped with a red sauce lettuce mixture. The best thing about the dish was the beans. Another at table got enchilada trio served with beans and rice. The enchiladas were just ok and the rice was inedible. Didn't care for our server facetiming while taking care of table. She also didn't check on us after getting entrees. I was surprised at how long the dirty tables outside went unattended. There are too many other places to try to return.
Great food. Great bartender. Thanks
My first time in The Villages, my dad, stepmom, and I came to Ay Jalisco for dinner. We were seated outside (as we requested), and were rewarded with a gorgeous sunset view of the Spanish Springs downtown area, and live music from a block away.
Service was pretty good, and the food was delicious and generously portioned. I wanted to try a spicy margarita, so the waitress added sliced jalapenos in the drink...delicious!
Overall a decent experience, though it seems like they close pretty early (about 8pm I think).
