they decided to close early on saturday night without any warning (they close at 2:30 and everyone was kicked out by 2:05, no announcement or anything), out on the patio, they locked all of the doors BEFORE telling us they were “closed” and we had to leave, leaving at least 30 of us with open tabs and an 80% gratuity” charge!? after some pushback and asking to be escorted inside so we could pay our tabs (at this point it was still not 2:30), security told us to leave or they would call the police. genuinely will never, ever come back.

Rude staff and known for drugging patrons!! Do not go here!! There are many other amazing safe spaces in Columbus! This place is also owned by well know republicans so spend your queer dollar somewhere that supports our community!

DO NOT GO HERE. Not a safe space anymore. The managing staff is unprofessional. You took away bookings from a well known Drag Queen in the community because they wanted to bring queer business your way. You treat entertainers with disrespect. If your an ally or a queer, you won't go to this club or Union Cafe across the street. They don't pay their artists like they say they will.

Axis is one of the best dance clubs I have been to, special emphasis on the "Dance" part. The party goers here do not sit around! The floor is packed and the diverse clientele gives it a really fun and high energy atmosphere.

This used to be a great dance bar. The lighting system is really good. DJing is usually good. Unfortunately now more a show bar, with little opportunity for dancing. Bartending is not too bad. But cleanliness is just awful. One recent night we arrived just at opening in order to meet others. Floor was already insanely sticky and bathroom was yucky. Just gross. Buy a steam cleaner and do the floors EVERY day before opening.

How is this place still open? Why are the cops not shutting this place down? There needs to be a thorough investigation of the amount of illegal drugs being unknowingly given to people. This is beyond dangerous.

I have been going to axis for about 2 1/2 years so I know my limits when it comes to how much I drink. I went this past Saturday and was roofied and I am 99% sure it was a bartender because our group never leaves our drinks unattended, after reading the other reviews someone must do something about this.
