Were there on a Friday mid-afternoon in January. Not too busy when we arrived. This is our kind of establishment for laid back, blue jeans on a Friday. Atmosphere was relaxed. Plenty of TV'S hanging. Seemed to be some regulars that were all relating with each other and having a good time. Food was very good and plentiful. Prices were very fair. Great place.
Management is terrible. Ignored us while we were actively waiving them down for help. He’s in the photo on his phone hanging out at the bar instead of helping his server who was by herself. Food was cold and gross. It was reheated after we hunted down someone because no one checked on us… and they just stuck the whole plate in the oven then forgot to add the coleslaw to the sandwich it came with tried to tell me it came on the side of the bbq pork ???? after all that we waited so long for the check while the manage sat on his butt watching his phone we considered walking out but didn’t want to stiff the waitress. It really lives up to its name. SA’s experience for our first time in Roanoke :/
Fire the manager at this location. Ordered oysters, they were thrown into a tray, no oyster juices to be enjoyed as they were under the ice.
Ordered calamari, they were sad and wimpy.
Ordered the ahi tuna, not too bad, not great, and the rice was cold while the hush puppies were over done to hell.
Flagged down the manager twice and was actively ignored. The manager went to sit at the bar and browse his phone. Had to wait for the waitress to come back with our check after 15 minutes of finishing our food.
Poor waitress was overloaded with work while the manager sat around. She deserves better. She said that the manager's behavior is normal. Straight up questioning my morals if I should just leave because I don't want to dine and dash.
My girlfriend and I stopped by for some seafood the other day. We got seated immediately and the bartender greeted us, took our drink orders and food order. I had the oysters Rockefeller and my girlfriend got the steamed crab legs. The drinks were perfect and the food was fast and hot. Over all it was a great experience.
This food is really good. I would definitely recommend to eat here. Rarely you can get a alive crab :D
Huge meaty oysters. Awesome service and friendly staff. I ate here often while in town for business.
This place is the absolute pits, I was served raw clams that smelled expired. I still paid for them and walked out without eating any of them. The atmosphere is loud and filled with a lot of drunk people. The service took forever to get us our food and it's very lower class. I would not recommend this at all as there are money better places to frequent in Roanoke.
Arthur maybe "awful", but his food is not and neither is his restaurant. Great service, food, and atmosphere. Oysters, mango mint drink, shrimp combo plate.... all very delish. Good ambiance and no wait downtown on a Saturday night. We bailed on Three Notched to come here instead. Very pleased with that decision. (No offense to Three Notched, that place looked cool too).
