I love the small family filling when I come into this establishment. I have been out of the country and craving Jamaican food. Now that I'm back... I've found my second kitchen ????. I think I eat here like 2-3 times a week. :)
Food was total Garbage I found a piece of plastic in the hard salty rice. The stew chicken was stale and was breaking up in pieces. Good attendant didn’t have the courtesy to apologize or offer something else I just threw the food away. He went on to replying under my review stating I’m Brooke n I should never return. They really need to close this place down seem like there are not following proper health protocols and serving stale food
I always drive by here, but never tried it until today. I got a Patty and a slice of Lemon cake. Customer service was amazing, the lady register is SO SWEET and helpful. The patty is so flaky and satisfying. The lemon cake was my FAVORITE! So moist and just the right amount of sweetness. Will come here again, no doubt!!
I’ve been coming here since 2015 I don’t even live in San Diego anymore but whenever I’m in the area I always try to go to this spot and get me the Jerk chicken fries. One of the best things on their menu in my option definitely a must try if you haven’t but a fair warning they are spicy ????
First time I have ever had Jamaican food. The most amazing food that I have ever eaten!!! Layla is generous and a very hospitable owner.
I love their jerk chicken plate. Every time I'm in San Diego, I will make sure to grab a plate, it's very difficult to find great jerk.
Upon returning from a three-city trip in Jamaica, I immediately looked for places that serve the food I in Kingston, Ocho Rios, and Montego Bay. I don’t have to look any further. This is my third visit having eaten curry goat, jerk chicken, and beef and chicken patty. I have been absolutely pleased. Each worker that I have encountered were very kind and conversational. I felt right at home. I HIGHLY recommend Laylah’s.
5 starsss. I told my guy I’m a vegetarian.. he said “I got you” and he delivered. Everything Fresh ! Seasoned perfectly.
