I recently took my Honda Accord in for a transmission oil change and I spoke with Donovan & Tyler who were incredibly helpful. They were both very informative, listened to my concerns and were seemingly honest about the needs & expectations. They found room in their schedule to squeeze me in on Thanksgiving week so that I wouldn't be without my car - I greatly appreciate that. I look forward to bringing my car there for future service needs.

Avondale Independent was highly recommended to me by a friend after I noticed some strange noises during my commute. Because I also requested an oil change and tire rotation, they didn't charge a diagnostic fee (they do a routine check during this service), which was a huge relief. They ended up needing to replace my brake pads and I feel that I paid a reasonable price for everything, especially compared to the KIA dealership I almost took my car to. The employees were very helpful and communicative. I highly recommend paying in cash as there is a fee for using a card. There is a gas station close by with an ATM. Calling ahead for an appointment is a must.

I've been a customer for about 25 years because I've always gotten good, honest and trustworthy service . I've had everything done to maintain my cars here as well as major repairs and I'm always satisfied by the results and how they deliver when promised, usually the same or next day. It's just great to have a service in your life that is always dependable and one you can completely trust. Also I always buy Honda's because I can go to Avondale Honda when I have a problem and need service. and the idea of going somewhere else with a different kind of car is just not feasible, even if I may like to try a different kind of car.

The only reason they get one star is because I can't go lower. I took my Civic there because it was getting a code 1361 and it was going into limp mode. I mentioned this them on the phone prior to taking my car there. When I arrived I mentioned it again. About a week later, after a couple of calls from me, I was told that I needed a head gasket. I put aside the red flag that was going off and agreed. $2500.00 later I picked up the car and did not drive 20 miles before the code 1361 came back on and the car went into limp mode AGAIN. When I called they said that they did not address the code 1361 because the head needed to be done first and to bring the car back and they would check it. Fat chance that this is going to happen. This was not disclosed to me beforehand. It is hard to convince me that the code could not be addressed first. I feel like my concerns were not addressed. When I mentioned this I was brushed aside like I did not know what I was talking about. One thing for sure, I am not a certified mechanic but I KNOW MY CAR. Needless to say, I will not be taking my car back there. Hard and expensive lesson to learn. Trust your gut.

Had the head gasket replaced on my 1997 accord here 3 years ago. Car still running great has over 278,000 miles now. Every other shop I tried to get a quote from told me I needed a new motor. Avondale independent told me they could replace the head gasket and it would be fine. It’s been over 60,000 miles since they did this repair and my car shows no signs of stopping. Highly recommend ????????????

I found this place from a Google search. I decided to trust this shop with my 2014 exl Honda Accord after reading several excellent reviews. I'm pleased to report that the reviews were accurate. I was informed every step of the process and received my car quicker than I expected. Will definitely be my go to shop for my Accord.
