Best WLM Reviews
Had a cherry limeade, the chicken fried chicken, black bean burger, curly fries and onion rings. We also ordered the fried pickles and the fried mushrooms. The jalapeño ranch dip was so great with the pickles!! Place does not disappoint! Not too many people at 2:30 on a friday but that was good for us. The hostess was so froendly and polite and the food was ready quick!
This restaurant was exactly what we were looking for!! Surprised we found this amazing place in the middle of rural Kansas. Service was friendly and the menu was superb with many homesytle items to choose from. Excellent value and great family atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a "home cooked meal" for a fair price!
Average Joe's was recommended to me twice in one day! First, by a local BBQ vendor who said that's where HE goes when he doesn't wanna cook, whom we later saw while we were there! The second person was his cousin! The food was delicious, I ordered the pork chops which I never do because I expect them to taste like home, and I'd be disappointed if they didn't. Well these were just like home! Loved them! Can't wait to come back! Our server also did a great job, being alone she was juggling a lot, but she still made it happen!
Great experience. This place has 2 entrances and apparently I came in the side door "bar" entrance. I then wondered into the restaurant area.... where I was immediately greeted and given a menu...
The entire place is fairly large. They didn't seem very busy. But the place is new, clean, comfortable, with modern tables chairs and fixtures. It's an open concept kitchen and watching them prepare food they seemed organized and in control. And everything looked clean and bright. Very refreshing for a small town restaurant.
I dined alone 1145a on a Wednesday. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap with a side salad. I was given many options by the waitress. I choose chicken fajita meat, Chipotle ranch dressing and a whole wheat wrap. The food came quickly. It tasted really good. All the ingredients and flavors were there and in the proper proportions.
The food was good, the facility was new and clean, the staff I dealt with were polite and professional, the speed of service was pretty fast and the price was reasonable. This place gets so many things right that too many restaurants do not.... I would definitely eat here again. If you are driving through town as I was, stop and give it a try...
First time coming here and hands down best chicken fried steak ive had in a 100 mile radius and the burger and fries were amazing. Would be a great place to definitely bring friends and family cause the bar are has a pool table and giant connect 4 and some games and the waitress was so good and fast. Definitely am coming back again
I'll make a long story short. My mission here was a little different the the avg Joe's lol get it? Average Joe?
Corny I know but I didn't plan on writing that part.
Anyways it was a bit of a journey that started with a motorcycle ride up to Nicodemus, reading some historical markers and information boards and then look for food. One placewd to another (Brady's bbq...then Brady led us to Joe's). The journey was great because we got to meet some GREAT people from all parties involved!
So back to Joe's!
- food was delicious (had a Spicy Reuben with fries)
- my friend has their Bone-in pork chops and said it was delicious.
We have a particular taste set spending many years in Europe and we both are from metropolitan cities so we have a broad food taste set and we enjoyed our food.
The place has a fried food smell inside so don't wear your nice clothes or just know you'll be washing them right after. Food does not come out fast (this isn't McDonald's) so bring your patience as well. When we came, our server was serving the entire establishment all by her loneself so please have patience. Shout outs to her for working so hard helping them run that place while they get it in...in the kitchen.
A definite stop by kind of place and you seat yourself here.
Angela is a great waitress she greeted us. she made us feel at home, we came here with business associates for lunch she was training someone new. Food was amazing so me and my friend came back for Dinner I will post my food when it get to the table.
Absolutely love the energy the team gives off. Very kind people in a wonderful neighborhood. We’re from Texas so having food like and the hospitality they have to offer had brought us home a little:
