We were in the Keys for a dive trip and wanted something for lunch and as a snack on the boat later in the afternoon. Avenue subs was highly rated so we gave them a try. It is a small roadside place and we waited in the car while our subs were made, which took some time. But the subs themselves were really good, on nice sub rolls. I'm not local, so I don't know if they have an "order ahead" option, which would be a good idea. Again, subs were great.

Stopped for a quick lunch in Key Largo – pleasantly surprised by the unassuming storefront with spectacular subs! Very reminiscent of New York City sandwiches meats were thinly sliced and stacked high!! Will have to come back again before leaving
10/10 highly recomend for anyone needing a great lunch idea. Amazing food, great people, good local prices. Definitely worth stopping at on your way to key west!
Walked in and ordered 2 subs, it was a 10-15 min wait and since the place is so small i stepped outside like the others waiting for their food. Went back inside when I thought my order would be ready, went to the pick up window and was asked if I had an order??? Very confused, then was asked what and how I placed my order??? I said “well I walked in that door 10 minutes ago, placed my order with that guy, waited outside and then came back in to pick it up? Seemed pretty simple and yet had to wait further since they didn’t have my order? The sub was like any other so nothing special, think I’ll just pick up subs from Publix next time! Good customer service really isn’t that difficult, or is it?
Heard good things from multiple locals about this place, and they weren't wrong. Inside the place looked super clean and everyone was so nice (making sure everything was right and that we had what we needed). The subs are very good - packed to the gills and everything looked and tasted fresh! I had the Italian Combo and my husband had the Meatball. These are the perfect subs for a day out on the boat, too. Will definitely be a regular spot for us now that we have a 2nd home in Key Largo.
This is absolutely the best sandwich in town. I have been visiting them for many years. And I am never disappointed. Keep up the great work guys! Thank you for your hard work! Robyn
Never been to Key Largo. Got lucky with this place. Fantastic tuna salad add banana peppers. All the tradesmen coming and going was the clue.
