Best WLM Reviews
Food was prepared masterfully. Our server was great, let us know about timing for food prep and made sure we were stocked with drinks and whatever we needed. The atmosphere is focused on clean, white interior, booth and high top seating available. They support open table reservations with credit card. We played a little game bayern my wife and I, guessing stay is a Xmas decoration vs year round given the hanging stars, mini lighted trees, and other misc chachkies. They have a robust menu with food and drinks ranging from espresso and teas to alcohols - mixed drinks, wine, etc.
First time here. Aesthetically pleasing. The servers were kind when I walked in. I ordered the latke. My options were limited because I don’t eat pork. There are no pork substitutes. I’ve never heard of a latke but the description said “shredded potatoes, spinach, cheddar cheese, green pepper, fried egg”. It did not mention the deep fried part. My egg was still a bit runny. All I could taste is crunchy, burnt potatoes. I do not like sending food back so I ate as much as I could tolerate. I told my server how I felt about it and her response was “I’ll let him know not to cook it as long”. No empathy. No offerings to satisfy me. Won’t be coming back.
This place was adorable! So many options and had a lovely atmosphere. My toasted marshmallow latte was delicious! The hash that I ordered was a little lackluster when it came to flavor, but it was full of fresh ingredients and was very filling, so I give it that! Will definitely come again to try something else.
This was one of our favorite places!
8/26/23 Breakfast. It's funny how expectations drive our experiences. Before we left PA for Texas in 2020, this was one of our favorite places for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Back then, the food was special!
We had breakfast this morning and found that things change over time; and not always for the better. The portions seemed a bit smaller. The prices seemed higher, but the service is as good as it's ever been (very good). The interior is just like I remember, bright and cheery.
The food was just OK. My wife's breakfast was overcooked (her eggs were fried on a grill that was too hot). She asked for new eggs, and the server was quick to correct the issue. My eggs were overcooked (not an issue needing correction), but my toast was basically white bread that was warmed and then slathered in butter. I didn't want to make an issue of it since we were now second-guessing our decision to eat here. For the price, $30, I expect an enjoyable breakfast. Not today. Today's experience was just okay.
5 = Excellent: Uniquely satisfying.
4 = Very Good: Better than expected.
3 = Average: An everyday experience. Just OK.
2 = Fair: Below par. Dirty smells. & / or flies.
Our first visit. My wife and I had the Latkes with a fried egg. We had sides of bacon and sausage. The eggs were fine. Thecsides were fine. The Latkes were drenched in oil and greasy, almost like they had been either deep fried or sautéed in deep oil. See pic. Sure to make me feel queasy for a good part of the day. The cappuccino was sub par. A cup of black tea was fine. The water was hot. Server staff very nice but when I let the server know about the oily latke and showed the grease on my plate, I simply got an "okay," which to say the least is a bit of a strange response. They have a good and varied menu and we may return to try something else. Until then this experience remains two stars.
Different cheesesteak item #1070 in the last five years. I hate myself for loving the Grilled Cheese and Short Rib sandwich. They need to hire people. Taylor is wonderful but she is just one person. She was greeting, seating, waiting tables, bartending, clearing and setting tables. If I'm paying $16 for a grilled cheese and $12 for my Maple Rye Smash, I want more people waiting on me. I did love the sandwich. It was very flavorful and had a good amount of meat. It came with very good fries. I don’t know how she found time to do it but Taylor made me a wonderful Maple Rye Smash. PS the plate was cracked.
The coffee was amazing and so was the food. If you are looking for a real treat, the crème brûlée waffle is incredible. I will probably order that each time I go. The service was a little slower, but the food was so good, we didn't mind at all.
Visit this place on a Sunday in hopes to get brunch, got there at 3:17 and they had ended brunch at 3. Was pretty upset considering I called before and a guy told me they end at 4 - driving all the way from Wilmington for brunch and not getting it was saddening. Luckily our waiter Anna was a fantastic waiter and recommended some great dishes like the short rib grilled cheese. She had our drinks together and everything, it was PERFECT.
Went there on a Monday and had brunch and it was well worth the drive. Ordered the French toast w/ Carmel and apples with the vanilla bean cream cheese in between. OMG so good.
Also ordered an omelette and it was pretty good, had to add a little pico and salt and pepper but good none the less and OH THE HOUSE FRIES.
*chefs kiss*.
Would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone who’s willing to listen.
