My car alternator was going bad, by faith I got stranded right in front of this auto shop and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the work done. Maha was nice and very professional. I was referred to Auto Repair Foreign Domestic by a co-worker. My co-worker's retired mechanic mentioned that Mr. Maha "owner" is a reputable mechanic. Maha is an awesome mechanic, he helped check everything (I was way overdue for a check up). Commented on my tires and fluids, said they were good (I recently had those changed and tires checked upon at Costco, so I know he is trust-worthy). I will come back when I am in need of my oil change or if any issues arise. He was highly recommended by my neighbor, so I gave him a try - it was worth it, he told me a good estimate and I saw him working after a bit.
The location is great too, its next to an honest massage parlor and there are some local eats so if you need to wait a few hours, its easy to do. Otherwise get a coffee across the street and read a book!
Horrible experience. First took several days and when it was finally quoted for the final amount we were told just under 300 dollars and it was ready to pick up. Arrive and bill is over 500 DOLLARS because quote “ his guys worked on it a lot”. We had no choice but to pay it because we needed our car back but are reporting to the Better business bureau for fraudulent business practices. Avoid at all costs, literally. I have tried calling to settle this voicemail is full, will be disputing the charges with my bank as well unless I hear back from them that they will do the right thing and stick by their final quote and refund the difference immediately.
I took my 16 VW GTI here for mechanical work (Thermostat housing, spark plug, and Oil chang) they did great work and Owner very friendly and professional, I’ve enjoyed my experience and will definitely come back. Reasonably priced and great work, finally found a good VW mechanic.
If your from Chino you know it as the place with all the SLUG BUGS , but its far more than that. Maha is the proud owner of Auto Repair Foreign Domestic and has served and taken care of our community for 20+ years now. He is an honest mechanic who will be sure to handle any situation from a smog check to an oil change. Over the years he has assisted me in maintaining my cars health and has always offered advice and help going above and beyond a regular mechanics duties. I feel ashamed I took so long to write this but I hope this helps get him the business he deserves.
I have been bringing my cars to him for many years now. Moved out of the area but continue bringing our cars to him and his team. He is very literal, will tell you what he knows and doesnt know when you call asnd ask for his opinion. This can be offputing to some people, but he is a very logical person and skips the fluff. I have seen complaints for the cost of labor - trust me, the cost is worth it and he stands by his work.
