Absolutely a 5-Star Smog Test Center
My family has been taking cars to this test center. They are very professional, customer-friendly, and offer quick and excellent service. I highly recommend them.
But, you need to know that nowadays, they only do smog one day a week on Saturdays. This is not indicated on their opening hours. This is making them very inconvenient!!!
For a simple basic oil change，they charged me more than $48. They are not honest any more, never come back.

Amazing, Great service I called a few minutes before they took me right in after my work, within 10 minutes of being there my smog was done passed and already sent to DMV. I could not be happier and I highly recommend them!!
I had an outstanding visit to Auto-1 Smog Test Center today, after having not one but TWO bad experiences at other Fremont area smog centers. I went to Fremont Star Smog Check at 10:00 a.m., but nobody was there. Later I went to Mowry Test Only Smog, but the guy their said his machine is down, and that his printer is down too. So I googled the nearest smog test place and found Auto-1. I was pleasantly surprised that it was located in the building attached to the Chevron station at Paseo Padre and Stevenson, on the corner by Lake Elizabeth Park. I go to that Chevron for E85 Flex Fuel all the time and never noticed Auto-1 Smog tucked behind it!
I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the shop and how nice and neat everything is, after the kind of parking mess over at Mowry Test-Only. I was greeted by Ahmad, who was wearing a neat "Nissan" technician uniform-shirt. (I realize what he was wearing probably isn't really important, but it made me feel like it was a professional shop that took their appearance seriously, and made me feel like they know what they're doing.) Ahmad commented on the reliability of the Buick 3.8 liter engine in my car (One of J.D. Powers' best 10 engines EVER!), so I also felt good that he knew a thing or two about decent engines.
The whole check took around 15 minutes, and I had a very pleasant talk with Farah, who signed me out afterwards. They transmitted my passing results directly to the DMV. I told them how I'd been running around Fremont looking for a smog station that was both OPEN and had WORKING EQUIPMENT. (Seriously, when that's your only job, how hard can it possibly be?)
I was *VERY PLEASED* with my service, and next time Auto-1 will be my FIRST stop for a smog test! Five very well-earned stars!
