We go here a couple of times a year and every time our food was very good. We usually get tge chicken Quesadillas or cheeseburger wrap. Our Daughter loves the crab legs.
I am very disappointed in serving size of the fish,,,I ordered the small fish basket,, Let me tell you,,the pieces of fish are about as big as my index finger,,,NO LIE,,,,fries being only a small amount in bottom of Togo container,,,,WHAT DO I NEED 2 TARTER SAUCES FOR,,,if I ate it, one would be enough trust me ,as small as the fish size is. I can see why the place was completely empty!! I will be driving into NLR the next time I want some fish!!
Well, wasn’t 5 star but wasn’t bad either. Nice small place, a little noisy from the cooler and ice machine and whatever else was running in the back which made it hard to hear a conversation. Waitresses were VERY good running there selves crazy trying to take care of customers. It wasn’t bad and we will visit again ????
The food was adequate at best. The inside was hot and musty, but they had to of had a/c issues going. Ate outside, the service was very hit and miss. Chose some of the cheaper items and still spent over $100 for 2 adults.
In the last 6 months their food has gone from good to not edible! It used to be great! I recommend finding a seafood restaurant that can keep their standards up! Austin's have lost it! My own humble opinion!
Amazing find! Mahi was reminiscent of my South Florida seafood roots! Blackened on a wonderful bun with on point fries! I'm a ranch dressing and fries gal, and that ranch was fabulous! Hubby had chicken livers and gravy and they were delicious as well! Waitress was wonderful and friendly, restaurant was clean and welcoming! Full bar as well! We'll be back!!
My husbands catfish was good, pretty thin though. I have always (many) times had the Royal Red Shrimp, steamed. Bought a pound $21.99. I told our waitress a few times it didn’t look like it and was hard to chew. She ended up taking something off our bill I think. Over $59.00.
Very disappointed!! We have been going there over a year and I always have this and coleslaw, that’s it.
Now to find a new place for this.
Ordered take out.. And I was sooooo amazed. Yummy, delicious, freshly cooked, and very kind employee's. 10/10 for me! Cannot wait to go back and sit in their patio and enjoy a cold beverage from bar. So glad I made a trip.
Hushpuppies was so good. catfish crunchy to perfection. Fries are skinny but so tasty and not over cooked.
