Delicious Indian food .. run by some nicest people.. ! Tried their jackfruit dosa, curd rice and their parata with egg curry was awesome .. all dishes were tasty and delicious.. !! Authentic taste .. highly recommend if you are in and around the area..
Food made with love.
1) Masala puri- Piping hot masala puri with all the flavors topped with onion, crunch peanuts, onion, cornflakes. In the cold weather eating this soupy masala puri touches the soul.
2) Idiyappam with stew- Feels so light, comes with potato coconut stew, kids friendly
3) Parotta with veg kurma - Nice parotha with mix veg coconut cashew based gravy.
Wait is long. Though if you will go late on Sunday after 8 pm then there will be less wait.
A lovely mom n pop all vegetarian Indian family restaurant serving excellent Indian cuisine, specifically Kerala cuisine. The husband is the cashier and the waiter while the son and wife prepare the food.
There are daily specials usually written on a chalkboard at the payment counter. Menus are there right next to it, as well as other small boxes of take along boxes for your home like pickles. Once you place your order and pay for it, you can find a table for yourself or sit at the bar against the wall. There are a couple of tables on the outside, but the majority of the seats are on the inside. Once your order is ready, your name will be called out to come and pick it up.
Weekdays are usually less crowded, but the weekends are just plain crazy crowded, which should show the popularity of the restaurant. But the people serving are lovely and very friendly. If you are new to the Kerala cuisine and are unsure of what dish to order or how best to eat it, just ask. They'll tell you the correct way to eat it so that you can enjoy it best.
There are your usual street dishes or South Indian dishes, but the truly good ones are the dishes that are from Kerala. So would recommend opting for them if you are feeling adventurous and don't forget to ask how to ask how best to enjoy the dish.
If you are planning to take your dish togo, place your order over a call (during which you can ask for the daily specials) and come down to the restaurant to pick it up. I'm not sure if they doordash or Uber eats since I've not checked it out.
A friend of mine who is from the same area in Kerala as the restaurant owners said these dishes are as original as they can come.
I've been here many times before, as usual, very hungry, but this is the first time I've remembered to take pics to post a review. Food's too yummy to remember to take pics for posting a review. :)
I went with my wife and daughter for a quick dinner tonight. I've been a few times before and enjoyed pav bhaji, dosa and a few other items. The counter service from the owner is always kind and helpful. Tonight I ordered paratha egg curry, which was absolutely delicious. The owner suggested a special of idiyappam with kadala curry and coconut chutney which is rice noodles and a black chickpea curry. This really stole the show, and I'm so glad he made the suggestion. My daughter isn't very adventurous, so she just ate the noodles. I ate the curry and remaining idiyappam. We're lucky to have this gem of a restaurant in the neighborhood!
Visiting first time. Ordered 1 Masala puri, Samosa Chat and Masala Dosa. Masala puri seemed stale, it was pre-prepared and when we ordered they just microwaved and served it piping hot. The puri inside was so wet and had become like wet tissue paper. Quantity of the chat items are good for the price but quality is bad!!! There are better places for Indian street food in Alpharetta.
The uncle who sits in the counter is rude and if you go and ask him for extra salt/ katta / meetha he shows attitude and argues that the food he served is already perfect and doesn’t need any enhancement. He rudely asked me not stand near the service counter and move out of the place. I was totally pissed off. I ll never recommend this place nor visit again.
The food is definitely delicious, but you have to plan well ahead if you want to eat there. The place is a bit small, and you have to wait around 20-30 minutes for your order.
If you can order ahead or use take out
Looking for a restaurant that serves authentic South Indian snack items, then Aunty’s Kitchen in Alpharetta is the place to go!???????? A small hole-in-the-wall restaurant owned by a husband and wife duo that serves South-Indian dishes like Idli Sambhar, different types of dosas and chaat specials. Their Kerala Parotta with Egg Curry is a must order along with the filter coffee. They have daily specials and on weekends they also serve Idiyappam and Appam Vegetable Stew.

First time visiting. Dabeli and Masala Puri are really good! Quite an authentic taste. Uncle is really friendly and helped us decide on what we wanted to order. The place wasn't crowded but people dropped in and out constantly for dine-in and take-out. Also tried Kachori Chaat, which was good but we were expecting Mumbai-style and it wasn't. Ended on a high note with Filter Coffee ( if you don't want sugar, let them know while placing order).
Thank you for the good food!
