Ordered on Uber Eats. My boyfriend ordered the Oxtails (he’s been wanting them for the last several days) with rice, Mac and cheese and collard greens. I ordered the fried pork chop with rice, Mac and cheese and collard greens. Everything was great! We had it for left overs today (at least my part since I don’t eat very much). I appreciate them calling me when they were out of cabbage. We will definitely be ordering or stopping by again. Thank you so much!
My husband and I purchased a deal from Groupon for $9.00 x 3. Glad we did save $9.00 off the oxtails meal, beans, greens and a side of mac and cheese. The place was empty no one came in and it was around 12:30 lunch time. (Big red flag) The oxtails were tender, that’s the only positive. The oxtails were salty, the food didn’t taste or appear to be freshly cooked. I mentioned to the owner the only other person present that the food was salty. She said it is? Sorry she replied. My husband ate as much as he could force himself since we’d paid about $22.00. The Mac and cheese I ordered wasn’t good at all as it had tons of black pepper in it and it tasted vinegary for some strange reason. We left with the remainder of the food as my husband didn’t want to toss it in front of her. My husband isn’t picky about food at all but this he trashed at the next grocery store trash we went to. This was not a good visit and we have $18 more off a meal. Guess we’ll take a L!
I'm rating a 2 because I loved her energy. I ordered oxtail, white rice, mac n cheese, collard greens & corn bread. My husband ordered smothered pork chop, yellow rice, greens, lima beans & corn bread. We paid $40. My food had 0 flavor. The greens were spicy from peppers that were added, but tasteless. The oxtail were mostly bone & fat. The Mac n cheese was watery, I only ate 1 spoonful, my husband tried it & he too said it was watery. I couldn't eat the cornbread which hurt my feelings because I LOVE cornbread. My husband said the gravy to the smothered pork chop was super salty, the beans were undercooked & everything else was nasty. We threw out majority of it. I wanted to try the place because I love greens, but I was highly disappointed. She was a nice lady though.
Auntie's kitchen is not too bad of a restaurant the cabbage and collard greens was okay and needed to be seasoned more. There was nothing really special about the oxtails just to be honest. But as you can see in the pictures they do got different variety of food. Update** sorry I forgot to put in this review that the customer service at the restaurant is a 5 star.
Food was awesome. Was able to eat twice out of the same plate infact. Only problem I had was with the clearing transaction. A tip was included that I didn't give. It wasn't a lot (the tip) but it's the integrity of the situation.
Service was good before I bought the food, I was tempted to buy it but I felt bad for leaving so I just stayed and dealt with it. I feel like she needs some young people in there cause her by herself is not working at all. She needs better marketing better management food is completely sour
Yes!!! I in town for traveling. Wanted some good soul food. Found this place it was easy to get to from the hotel I’m staying. I ordered oxtails, greens, yams and cornbread. When I tell you it is delicious bring me bk to grandmas house on Sunday dinner. Thank you this really touch my soul.
Don’t even want to give one star. “Auntie” calls herself that because she wants the public to thinks she’s someone’s sweet little “Auntie!” ???? And she IS NOT! (I have friends who are her former friends..nuff said?!?) AND, based on my recent interaction with her, she most certainly IS NOT! Secondly, OMG, the Health Department needs to pay her a visit FORTHWITH (& I plan to see that that happens!) …my shoes stuck to the floor as I walked!!! Eeewww! Getting there late in the day, she was packing it all in and had put all the food in plastic tubs… it was pretty disgusting looking, but she was trying to HARD SELL (PUSH IT ON ME!) UGH! The “tubs” of food looked gross…and you KNOW IT WASN’T HOT!!! But, she’d already started dipping up two plates of “OX TAILS” in two clam shells on top of rice. I said (because there weren’t really any “oxtails” there)????” are you going to give us a discount on that?!? “Oh no, baby, cuz, dis all meat right here!!!” As, she’s just dipping out all the meat she can F’ing in the bottom of the oxtail gravy that’s left, right?!? ????♀️????????. Then, asks me what two veggies I want….they all look horrid ????????. Mac n Cheese w no cheese on top, just the dregs chunked in that lil tub; I can’t even remember whatever swill she had left… I excused my self to go out & speak to my husband to see if he wanted us to, indeed spend $28+ on these two NASTY plates, to which she “nastily” responded “so you just gon leave me STUCK with these two plates?!?” As I turned away, a nice young gentleman was walking in and excused himself & said for me to go ahead and she smartly said, “Oh, no, she gots to go talk to her husband!” (With her smart mouth!) I went to our vehicle. We left and will NEVER GO BACK!
PEOPLE!!! LISTEN UP! YOU SEE THESE REVIEWS?!? NO ONE IS PAYING ANYONE TO WRITE THEM. AND, AS YOU CAN SE BY HER RESPONSES, SHE DOESN’T TAKE WELL TO CRITICISM, AND SHE HASN’T DONE MUCH ABOUT IT!
