What a darling establishment we stumbled upon! Warm and cozy atmosphere, the staff was amazing, accommodating, and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious! We ate outside in the quaint porch area. It was a bit chilly, but they have heaters so it kept us warm. I had the salmon toast which was scrumptious and my friend had the skillet. We ordered the vegan zucchini bread and it had great texture and flavor! The chai and mimosas were wonderful as well. Definitely would go back and highly recommend for brunch.
I used to love this place for its food and atmosphere, but my recent visits have been disappointing. On 5/10/24, the service from the host to the server and the quality of the food were all subpar. The host's attitude was standoffish, and despite requesting a table for three, we were met with indifference. The server took our orders promptly, but the food took ages to arrive, and when it did, it was incorrect and poorly prepared. My order of over medium eggs was served as the worst dried, over-fried eggs I've ever seen, and they even got my daughter's order wrong, giving bacon instead of sausage. Despite our attempts to get assistance, the server seemed absent, and even flagging down the host proved futile. My daughter's scrambled eggs were so dry she couldn't eat them. Overall, a disappointing experience, and I won't be returning or recommending this place.
This place is an amazing brunch spot. I took my gf out to this restaurant and we both loved it. I had an amazing experience from beginning to end. We arrived at the place around 11:30 am and we quickly found parking. Upon arriving we were nicely greeted by the hostess in a polite manner and with a smile, then we were told that the wait time would be around 10 min, which ended up feeling less than that. We were seated and our waiter, Mike came to our table to take our drink orders. The drinks came fast and the food as well when we ended up ordering our food. Fast service, and very polite workers. The restrooms were very nice and clean. The ambiance was phenomenal, everything was aesthetically pleasing, homey, peaceful, and quiet. I felt like I could have a nice conversation with my gf and it would still be private. Ahhhh, and most importantly, the food did not disappoint. I got Brioche French toast w/ egg and country potatoes and I loved them, it was delicious, the portions were perfect. My gf got a pesto chicken sandwich which she loved. To drink I got a hot chocolate which was delicious and my gf got a hazelnut coffee. The total was 46.48 which I thought was reasonable, not too expensive. Just about the same cost of going to Denny’s. Overall a great experience, and a great spot to get brunch, I highly recommend it, and I give it a 10/10. If you go, be aware of their hours, they’re open every day except Tuesday, and their hours are 8 am - 1:30 pm.
My order for anyone curious:
Hot Chocolate: 4.00
Iced Latte: 5.25
(Hazelnut: 0.75)
Brioche French Toast: 18.00
Classic, scrambled eggs: (2.50)
Auntie’s Potatoes: (2.50)
Subtotal: 42.25
LA Tax: 4.33
Total: 46.58
GLASS IN FOOD!!
Very dissapointed. My husband and I went for Sunday breakfast. It started off bad, they seated a couple before us that arrived after us. No utensils, hostess said they will bring them out in a bit because they are being washed. When they came they were plastic so not sure why she would say that. Service was super slow overall and we waited soo long from start til we left. Plenty tables were open so they might just be under staffed. Limited menu options, they ran out of soup and waitress said pastries were low. Asked for hot sauce and they brought out ketchup. No refills on our waters. Just one little bad thing after the other. Cherry on top - my husband spit out his food while chewing and it was a piece of glass in his sandwich. We had only ate half of food. They took our food and apologized and we left.
Went with a party of six on a Thursday morning. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Tried their Mini Bar, which is a bottle of champagne with 2 different juices. A perfect addition to our brunch! Parking can be difficult to find in front, but there is a lot across the street.
I always roam around and try to find good quality food and service. And thank God I found another Gem. When I walked in I didn't expect too much since they just opened (8am), but to my surprise, staff was super friendly, smiling, and helpful. The atmosphere made me feel like at my grandma's back in Germany.
I started my morning with a latte and I have to say it was the best one I had in a long time. Armando definitely made the best mocca/latte which can compete in taste with cafes in Europe....just impressive!
Sol was my waitress and very attentive. Not once was she missing when I needed something and she always had a great smile and a really good attitude.
I ordered chicken and waffle and it was divine. Potatoes, waffles, chicken...I mean...did my grandma wake up from the dead andstartd working here in this kitchen? No way...how can it be this good.
I'm a very, very spoiled fine dining kind of eater and have to say this Cafe rates amongst the top 5 cafes I have been to, all over the world. YES, IT'S THAT GOOD.
It just so happened that the owner Aya was in. I thought she was the dishwasher because she was in the kitchen washing dishes. Very lovely and humble lady. Which owner washes dishes in a busy Cafe like this?!?!
Very impressive, she really cares about detail and I believe she is a perfectionist when it comes to her Cafe.
I'm so glad I got to meet her and question her about her food and she definitely offers the best quality food around. Bathrooms, kitchen and all was also very clean.
Don't take my word. Come check it out. You will not regret it!.
We were in the area around brunch time and decided to stop by. I was intrigued by the pictures I had seen from previous reviews.
The atmosphere and location didn’t disappoint - very cute and cozy. We were seated outside, but I could see in and it all looked very nice and well kept.
It did take a while to get seated and once we were seated it took a while to be served and then also get our food, so all together we felt that the service was a bit slow. The staff we interacted with were very nice though.
The food was decently good. We had the chicken sandwich and hazelnut French toast. I wasn’t super impressed with the chicken sandwich, the actual chicken itself was lightly breaded and didn’t have much flavor. I ordered it with a side of potatoes wedges that were very good though - perfectly seasoned and crispy. The French toast was very good! All aspects of it were done perfectly and we would order it again.
All in all, I would definitely give this place another chance and I’d order something other than the chicken sandwich (probably one of the skillets!). I’d recommend give it a try.
Auntie’s is a cute location and has a relaxing vibe. Their espresso drinks are super strong. I got the fried chicken sandwich with a side of country potatoes. Both were well-seasoned and executed, but some of the greens on my sandwich were yellow, and wilted. My friend got the turkey bacon club sandwich with wedge fries. The fries were yummy. The sandwich also had yellowing and wilting greens in it—this was very disappointing and unappetizing. We really wanted to love this place, but their willingness to serve us veggies gone bad was super lame and disrespectful.
