Best WLM Reviews
We came to this restaurant for the first time for dinner. To our surprise, the food was really good and authentic Chinese BBQ pork and BBQ duck. The interior decor it's a typical Chinese family restaurant. The manager and waitress were very friendly and polite. The service was good and attentive. We will definitely come back again to try dishes.
Pleasantly very happy with the crispy pork. The jelly fish and tofu dish were as expected. I thought the pineapple bun is pretty good for $2, I would get this more (forgot to take photo).
Definitely one of the most authentic Cantonese food in the area. For the portion they serve the food is pretty cheap.
Their Charsiu got the perfect ratio of fat and lean meat but personally it could be a tad sweeter. The house special chicken deserved a chef’s kiss. It’s sweet soy sauce and the meat was tender and juicy. Fried rice and the veggies were decent and the rice noodle roll was alright.
I’ll come back and try other dishes for sure.
Food is average. Service is good. Place is small. We came to celebrate mother's day, and they were busy. The crispy pork belly is good... But they put a bunch not so good cut of pork in the bottom layer, felt a bit ripped off, Cuz the belly and the regular cut are different price.
There is parking available on both sides of the restaurant once you turn in. A couple of street parking is available right up front. Generous portions for Hainan chicken rice, especially the rice. When there for a to-go order, it was prepared quickly. The staff requested the kitchen to prioritize the to-go order first which is nice. The Hainan chicken rice was packed in a box, comes with soup, grounded scallion ginger dip, some hot sauce, pickle veggies and plastic utensils. Once we got home, the rice portion was packed pretty well. Easily about 2 bowls of rice crammed into the box for sure. The rice was flavorful and not dry or soggy.
The food here is great. I just tried the roast duck and crispy skinned pork with rice and chang feng, very standard Cantonese food but very tasty. The pork skin is very crispy and the roast duck is not so fatty. The service is a little bit off. I waited a good 20 min before someone took my order though I may have came in an awkward time around 2PM.
The food was great.we traveled to this part of town because we were visiting the botanical garden. . The reason I gave them 3 stars because I felt we got scammed on the market price lobster. We asked about the price of the lobster. He quoted $31.99. But he didn’t explain $31.99 is per lb. When they served the lobster, we found out it was a at least 3 lb lobster. When we got the bill, the price for lobster was $111. I guess they picked the biggest lobster in the tank. Well we ate it, we paid. I hope anyone read this review who will learn our lesson.
Delicious and authentic food that isn’t too greasy. Lots of options. Really enjoyed the vegetable chow fun and mushrooms with tofu entree. Nice service, clean restaurant, and complimentary oranges when dining in. I’ll be back again soon.
