Love their fried chicken!! My husband can’t get enough of their fried okra lol. Great food and daily specials. Desserts and shakes. Follow them on Facebook to keep updated. Reasonable prices. Great service. Definitely a family environment. Highly recommended!!
I ordered the fish dinner with a side salad and cottage cheese with a piece of coconut cream pie for dessert. The food was great, service was friendly and pleasant and the atmosphere comfortable. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now. I pass it everyday on my way home from work; I'm so glad I finally stopped in. I can see myself becoming a regular.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Our drinks were gone before we ever got our food. We waited 45 mins for food after drinks, which were never refilled. The marinated chicken was terribly over marinated rice was mush. Baked potato wasn't even good. I told them the food was gross and still got charged for it then went to pay and got charged more for using a card. Absolutely terrible! Wouldn't recommend eating here even if it was the last place on earth to eat
I love this diner. The decor is a bit dated but very homey and clean, the food is great and the desserts are fantastic. Waitstaff are friendly and stay on top of service. I stop in every time I am going through Ft. Scott when they are open. Chargrilled burgers, yum. Best coconut cream pie, EVER.
Could not cut the meat. Meat is white. I ordered chicken fried steak. Maybe this is very tough chicken. Yellow gravy??? VERY disappointing. $25 for this and a burger. The burger was ok. I won’t ever go back.
Aunt Toadies was hopping! The service was great and the food was delicious! Our onion ring appetizer was tasty and the chicken fried pork steak was perfectly prepared! The bread pudding I order for dessert was some of the best I've ever had! The four of us ate our fill for less than $50! The only negative was we left smelling like fried food. However, it wasn't bad enough to stop us from going back!
Simple home cooking. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious. Simple good food. Family style seating, e.g. you might be sharing a bigger table with people not in your group. Very small place, people lined up to almost out of the door and happy to wait. Packed on a Saturday night.
Very prompt and friendly service. All the food we had was great. I left with a to-go box.
