A small town restaurant that oozes southern hospitality. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted like an old friend. Everyone was so outgoing and friendly. I believe I spoke to everyone working there that day, lol. They serve good southern comfort food quickly and at a reasonable price. Definitely a place to visit while in Tupelo.
Absolutely fantastic eatery in Tupelo! Pass all those chain joints and come get you some real southern comfort food here at Aunt B's! Food, atmosphere, staff- all excellent- little to no room for improvement. Hardest part of the visit was narrowing down what all to try! Every dish was made to perfection. We tried: fried pork chops & gravy, cabbage, lima beans, cornbread, catfish, mashed potatoes & gravy, purple hull peas, hushpuppies and -last but not least- the banana pudding. Every bite was wonderful! No notes! :)
What an amazing place to stop and grab a bite to eat in Tupelo! We were staying the night in Tupelo as a mid way point home from Florida. We wanted some local southern food and Aunt B’s delivered! The food was AMAZING and the service and atmosphere were 10/10. Great people making great food. Highly recommend a stop.
Outstanding flavor. Now I truly understand what "soul food" means: it's not just cooked with soul, it feeds your soul. Everything was incredibly perfectly seasoned, and the food tastes like it's cooked by people who care about what they do and the people they're feeding. Everything was delicious, and that was possibly the best pork chop I've had in my life. My only regret is that I don't live nearby. This is food that satisfies AND makes you feel good. Oh, and the service is excellent, too: friendly, welcoming and professional, in a warm, interesting and very clean setting. Highly recommend.
Deserves more than 5 stars! Incredible food, service and banana pudding.
Best fried chicken I’ve ever had!!
Highly recommend checking this place out or making a journey to try it. Thank you to the amazing ladies inside????
My fiance, her kids, and I are doing some traveling from Oklahoma to Georgia and we are stopping at places that aren't chain restaurants. We came across Aunt B's Soul Food to see what it's like.
When you walk in you can just smell the goodness. The first things you see on the right is a collection of music memorabilia based on soul, jazz, etc music. On the left wall you see a lot of pictures and posters doing the same.
The women there that were helping us were fantastic. Obviously we had never been there before and they were patient with us and explained everything. I really enjoyed the baked chicken but I wish I would've gotten the fried catfish filets like my future stepdaughter did. When she cut into them the fork went straight through. We also got a cheeseburger and fried pork chops. For the sides we got mashed potatoes, green beans, and baked beans as well as their cornbread. All of it was amazing. I don't know if we will make it back through that way, back if we do we are coming back.
These folks don't know a field pea.. from a black eyed pea.
To the male owner/operator . Keep your 1 little side vegetable. Trying to make up an overcharge and laughing at a guest. 9 year veteran of eating at this "respectable establishment " . They can keep it.
EDIT: Owner said it was a misunderstanding on his part and assured me it was not a laughing matter. Accepted that ,and now we are moving on positively. Exceptional response from owner made all the difference. Will be back for life. Appreciate everyone's understanding.
The food was amazing. The employees were beyond nice. The atmosphere was very welcoming. I would definitely visit again if I'm ever in the Tupelo area again. I had spaghetti, with lima beans and cabbage. The kool-aid was perfection!
