Lovely Bay Side Diner open until 2 serving both breakfast and lunch to close. Very nice Bayside viewing from the attached dining room with reasonable pricing for their dishes. My Ruben could have been a bit heartier to my taste, I like a full sandwich. It was good but it could have been a bit bigger to have fries be an additional $3. Hot chocolate was warming and tasteful. I look forward dining at Augie's again soon!

Whether you're passing through, or a local, I definitely recommend it here! Great view of the lake too while eating outside.
Fresh squeezed OJ is a MUST! Love that they have mini breakfast options because I'm not a big eater in the morning. It was a Monday morning around 8:30 and it was quite busy. Service was a tad slow but food was excellent. My biggest downside is that they have one single bathroom.
Stopped in for breakfast, had the corned beef hash omelet. Was delicious. The service was great even though they were busy.
It's a local gem, but the chef clearly hates his job and makes all the servers miserable. There is no love and passion in his cooking. If you ask for a specific preparation, he will do the opposite. Lame!!! The servers are TOP NOTCH!! FIRE THE COOK!!!
Stopped in for breakfast and experienced a bad attitude from the waitress . The booth we were about to set at still had dirty dishes and after letting the waitress know where we were setting she came across as if it was an inconvenience for her to remove the dirty dishes from the table, which I did not ask of her at the immediate time knowing they would eventually get removed but yet she felt compelled to inform me with obvious attitude and irritation that I had to wait for the table to be cleaned, which I already expected but her communication could of been done without that kind of demeanor. We just left without ordering breakfasts.
2018(previous owners) We went for a late breakfast. They were very welcoming. Beautiful view of Tawas Bay from the deck. Loved the cute tables outside with umbrellas and the beach decorations. Outside tables can accommodate up to 8 people. Food was pretty good ... just breakfast. It's hard to mess up. We had biscuits and gravy (country gravy, wasn't sausage gravy) with 2 eggs over easy. Also had the Cinnamon-Vanilla dipped French toast. Good stuff. Service was very good and friendly. Prices were reasonable. I posted pics of this year's menu options. I recommend visiting
Eat outside on the patio, unbelievable. Waitress has been great. Came back 3 days in row because of the food, staff, and views!!
