We ordered take out, medium nachos & crispy chicken with fries. Absolutely impressed by the size of the nachos!! The chicken sandwich is on Texas toast! If these menu items are up your alley, you won't be disappointed!!!
To top it all off, the service is fantastic!!!!
My wife and I ordered a wet burrito and it looked fine when it arrived. After taking the first bite, I noticed an unusual flavor and after the 2nd bite, it was obvious what it was. Someone had either burned the meat, beans, etc. while keeping everything warm. That nasty burned flavor does not go away once it’s mixed through the meat and/or beans. I’ve done it before with Chili and it’s disgusting. I told the waitress that something tasted burned and she said that they make their pork, beans, etc. at the beginning of the week and keep it warm all week. We ordered a side dish of beans and we could taste that nasty burned flavor in the beans. I told the waitress and ask her to please go taste the beans but she didn’t. We couldn’t eat our burritos and I’m going to freeze them and take them back to let the manager sample them. I’m tired of paying for food where people simply don’t care what they serve you. I like this place and have never had an issue before. Maybe people should believe their paying customers!!!
We have eaten there alot and the food is great can't say enough about the food. The service was not that great and don't want to make a big deal about it but not very Happy the last couple of time we been there. But the food it great
Me and my wife came for the shrimp poboy it's more like a fried shrimp sandwich. It was good but not a poboy. The cod was really good as well as the tater tots. We sat at table 15 so our waiter or waitress didn't know who was serving our table so neither really did. No refills on drinks in a little over an hour sitting and eating. Drive a little farther and go to the bully in midland or in old city hall in bay city.
We had a group of 6 and called the day before so they knew we were coming for a family Christmas get together. Hardly no body in there, and poor service, there were 2 waitress, but slow or no service,. Had to go up to the bar to order drinks. The waitress after she took our orders for food, never ask if we needed another round of drinks, had to flag her down. After she brought our food, she never came back to ask how everything thing was ok or if we needed anything else. Poor service. Our party was not impressed or hsppy.
Been there to eat three times and there were maybe 4 people drinking and we were the only ones there ordering to eat. It took 45 min. To get a hamburger and onion rings. Service is way to slow.
had dinner and beverages today at this establishment. steak sandwich was tasty and i would purchase again. wet hotel burrito was great tasting also, and large portion. second time eating here this year and very pleased. dont remember servers name, but she was apologizing for having burnt some popcorn and the odor in the surroundings. nonetheless, she took care of the burnt mess and made a new batch and it was great. will return soon.
Auburn Hotel doesn't pretend to be what it's not. It has affordable food and inexpensive drinks in a down-to-earth atmosphere. It's back to its traditional roots.
