This is a very nice property with a great M Club. The staff are friendly and our room was large. However, we had a weird problem with our pillows; they smelled really foul and we had to exchange them at the front desk after our first night. I've never had this issue at any hotel and I'm not sure what happened. The pool is very nice, but it was too cool outside to swim. The restaurant is a good place to dine after a busy day. I've stayed at several other Bonvoy properties in Atlanta and I hope to try this Marriott again because I think the pillow issue was an anomaly.
I was so highly disappointed in this hotel, mostly because of the poorly trained staff, hidden policies, and conflict resolution. What could have been a simple fix and just a little communication, turned into a weekend of frustration and disputing. We came down for a graduation, and had some issues so we checked in around 2 am. We called ahead to ask and inform hotel that due to unforeseen circumstances our travel ETA was delayed, and asked if anything needed to be done. The front desk rep stated “nothing needs to be done, just check in when you get here”. Got there, he was absolutely rude and uninformative on check in and policies. The next day we check our card, and the card not used to pay was charged a $155 charge twice. When explaining this to the front desk, we were told this charge was not seen, and pretty much told to take it up with the bank. Lack of accountability and ownership #1 as we had to handle proving the charges. Once they were finally found, it’s been a back and forth between the inexperienced account manager, Brittany. Ownership, conflict resolution, and simple communication are one of the biggest things as a hospitality service which this location completely lacks. Angel was the only one that listened and tried finding a solution. I love mariott but this is a hotel that will definitely deter you from going back, if you don’t know how amazing other mariott hotels and their customer service works.
My review is on the front desk professionals. I had a chance to see all attitudes and they maintained great customer service. Jamaali and the female day supervisor were very helpful and friendly. I would come here again based on them. Shuttle drivers included
Best customer service I’ve ever had at a Hotel Stay before. Jamaali was incredibly helpful getting me situated even though it was super late at night. If you’re thinking of staying in the area honestly Jamaali alone makes it worth while. But the hotel is incredibly clean and new as well. Don’t hesitate!
The Best Marriott Hotel Ever! I have stayed in over a thousand Marriott hotels and Resorts in Four Continents. This has been the most memorable experience. I wasn’t having such a great day. I had brought my Mom, who is wheel chair bond and very ill , so that she could visit her Brother in Atlanta who is also very ill as well. From the first contact with Angel on the front desk, she had such good customer service skills, she made the experience so much better. She is s truly an “Angel”! When we arrived on site Angel and the other wonderful person (Lashebre) assisted my Mom and I get settled in to our rooms late in the evening. I never seen such above and beyond customer service! We also needed some assistance with repairing my Mom’s electric wheelchair. The Marriott Engineer (Hashea) came to the room in the am diagnosed the problem and made the repair. I tired to give him some money and he refused to accept it and insisted this repair was some way related to his duties at the hotel. Also my Mom noted the rooms, lobby, lounge, restaurant, and common areas where spotlessly clean! Thank you Marriott Management you have a great team at this location. Not 5 stars but 10 stars.
The hotel was great! Safe, the gym was awesome, the staff was friendly in particular Monica. Very attentive and welcoming. I highly suggest eating for breakfast here. Everyday they gave us a different option. The food was good. I was not expecting that.
Angel was amazing. She made the experience great for girls trip. She was very accommodating. Friendly, clean and nice atmosphere overall. Angel suggested places to eat, hang out and to have the overall Atlanta experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a good time and be near all the hottest places.
I didn’t have the best experience during my 12 day stay, my 5 stars are to the employees who made me feel like a valued customer with their excellent customer service. Thomas thank you for always being on time, professional, helpful and respectful. Laticia and Shakira thank you for being pleasant, cheerful, available, and eager to help. Mamodou thank you, you are the only dinning staff that offer me any service, and it was consistent so I only ate breakfast when you were there.
