Customer service at its finest!! My daughter was having car trouble on the grapevine. I called Alex and asked if he had any time to take a look at her car since she was 20 minutes out. He helped her out immensely and took the initiative to call me back and give me thorough information and advice on how to get this problem solved! Thank you ATG Automotive!
I was driving on I-5 North near Gorman when I noticed a hesitation in the engine, Service Engine Soon light came on and temp gauge pointed to H. I pulled over and shut off the engine. I waited for the engine to cool before trying to move. Was only able to move a few feet when the RPM would not budge and the temp needle shot back up to H. I decided to call Roadside Assistance through my insurance to get a tow. One of the choices was ATG Automotive. I spoke with Alex and explained what happened. I remembered to tell Samuel and later Alex I smelled caramel when I first turned off the engine. Turned out the radiator cracked and the temperature gauge was shot. My vehicle is 2009 with original parts. This took place on a Saturday afternoon. By the time I was able to speak with Alex, the parts store closed and the outside temperature was dropping quick. Spent the night at the hotel until Alex and his team could work on my problem the next day. He explained to me what I needed to do for the remaining work when I returned to my destination. One of the things was not to use after market parts. Use genuine parts for the make I have. I told him I always go to the dealership to get work done. I have never come across a mechanic that is not part of a dealership tell me to use genuine parts and get the proper work done. That cemented in my mind he is upfront and genuine with his work. Alex went above and beyond out of his way to help me out. My situation could have been worse. Thanks Alex, Samuel, and team for getting me back on the road. l had a few milestones that tested the work done. The RPM and temperature gauge held up firm and steady from Lebec to Sacramento area.
This reminds me of one of those Hallmark/ION/Lifetime movies where a motorist is minding one's own business, gets caught off guard, and sidelined. The time between waiting for a tow and getting back on the road is filled with taking mental stock and thinking of those that need help and finding good decent people that are still around.
Alex was great! We had engine misfires just when we started the grapevine and he was able to fix the next day (didn’t get it to his shop until 5pm on a Friday). Very kind and thorough.
Broke down cresting the mountains just outside Gorman, Alex was a saint. Welcomed us in out of the 106 heat, checked out the car, was open and honest about what was wrong. Was patient while we sat on the phone with dealership, insurance & even spoke to them about error codes pulled. Due to dealership warranty, we couldn’t have him do the repairs, he nevertheless offered insightful guidance on what to do and how to get there while our vehicle was in limp mode. I would highly recommend him.
My jeep broke down on the I-5 and I was given his number by CHP. We had been on the phone with our insurance for over 30 minutes and finally gave up and called Alex and within 30 minutes we were on a flatbed heading for his shop.
AC Compressor broke down over the grapevine and our only option was to replace the entire compressor. They were able to repair it for a very good price and got us back up and running that very same day. ATG Automotive was a life saver! Very trustworthy business.
My truck broke down on the freeway and I was able to get it over to Alex at ATG and he was even nice enough to drive me to the hotel while my car gets fixed???? 5 Stars!!!
Alex and Sam were amazing. We had a broken radiator cap on our Toyota Sienna on our way to our daughter's UC Davis graduation and they were so helpful. They were so busy and fit us in and they showed everything they were fixing and accurately predicted how long it would take to fix. Alex test drove it with us and made sure all worked well. They didn't gouge us on pricing and we were so grateful. Thank you.
