Best WLM Reviews
Their octopus is to die for, so good. We enjoyed every dish we ordered, as well as drinks.
Somehow, it's not crowded, I guess that's because people don't notice this place. Well, I can tell you, try it and you won't regret it.
The food was, well, ok. Not terrible, not great. Servers were prompt and pleasant. However, the forced tipping is a complete turn off which will keep us from returning. We happen to be very good tippers (for appropriate service) and usually leave 25%-30%. However, because of this establishments attempt to be "cute" about their forced tipping policy we will not return. Forced tipping does two things. It allows restaurants to underpay their staff AND it allows for less-than-enthusiastic service on the part of staff. I mean, if you know you're getting a tip why go above and beyond, right? Finally, that last paragraph.. "For parties of 1 or more"? Listen At Peru, those of us who are adults don't find this funny or cute. Just raise your prices by 18 percent (and disclose it) and be done with it.
Turbulent winds, long waits, and a check-in to resolve an issue with Hertz left my mother and I in a flux between hangry and hungry. Procrastinating, I called around without a reservation knowing the return investment from karma. Only 2-3 tries in, I was told, "Ben, how late do you need the kitchen to be open? Just come by and I'll get you my parking spot right in the back of my restaurant". There I found a husband-wife duo who lived and breathed empathy, passion, and humility; the qualities we strive to uphold in medicine. In short, they translated this lifestyle into their food and impressed on me the need to share my experience. Beef heart skewers (not pictured) were tender and well-portioned for two followed by a ceviche many may replicate but few could reconstruct the authenticity. Lastly, we ordered the crispy red snapper because after all was said and done, I'm probably not going to fish up one anytime soon nor find that right balance of crisp and flake. The amusement of watching or dancing to some Latin music on the boardwalk while sipping your passionfruit daiquiri should seal the deal, or the sheer genuineness of the staff, Mario and his wife!
Worst Peruvian I have tried. Food quality was really bad and preparation was gross
Drinks were bad with little alcohol.
Service was slow and non existent
Forgot a dish we ordered
I can’t describe how delicious the food was. Our waitress Alejandra was very pleasant and made sure we had the best experience ever. Will definitely come back with family and friends.
Wonderful place to come!!! Please ask for Mario! He was so great! The food is fresh! The drinks are amazing, not watered down at all (you know). Wonderful staff, music, and just really intentional with the service/care.
It was our fist time at this restaurant, not disappointed at all. At Peru, we found everything we were looking for, the food was amazing (huge portions), and the service was the best!
Benjamin is awesome! The food is amazing! Delicious and as a true Peruvian myself, on point with all its authentic flavors melting in your mouth! Los anticuchos para chuparse los dedos, el lomo saltado superb. Alexis, our waiter was very attentive. I will definitely be coming back! Arriba Perú ????????
