Quick Facts About Astou African Hair Braiding

Astou African Hair Braiding place has received mixed feedback from customers, with some praising the service and quality of braids, while others have criticized the customer service and professionalism. In order to provide a comprehensive analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, let's break down the comments and analyze each aspect of the business.
Starting with the strengths, one customer mentioned that they were able to get an appointment on the same day they called. This indicates that the salon is accommodating and can handle last-minute bookings. The customer also enjoyed the experience, loved the braids, and found the setting to be inviting. This suggests that the ambiance of the salon is pleasant and the staff is courteous. Another positive aspect mentioned is the variety of hair selections available on-site, which implies that the salon is well-stocked and can cater to different customer preferences. Additionally, the fact that all three chairs were in use during the visit indicates that the salon is popular and has a steady flow of clientele.
Furthermore, another customer praised the ease of the booking process and expressed their satisfaction with their hair. This indicates that the salon has a streamlined system in place for booking appointments and that the hairstylist was able to fulfil the customer's requirements.
However, there are some notable weaknesses pointed out by customers. One customer had a negative experience with the booking process, stating that it wasn't secure and that they had to send money through an app instead of a more traditional method. This reflects a lack of professionalism in terms of handling payments and ensuring customer trust and security. Additionally, this customer also mentioned that they arrived for their appointment on time but had to wait for the hairdresser, which resulted in a tense situation between the customer and the salon owner. This highlights a lack of punctuality and professionalism on the part of the salon.
Another customer mentioned that the hairdresser was eating a meal with a loud odor during the appointment, which made it difficult to enjoy the experience. This indicates a lack of consideration for the customer's comfort and suggests that the hairdresser may not adhere to professional standards.
One customer expressed disappointment in their hair braiding experience, stating that a plug of hair was missing and that the salon didn't inform them. This points to a lack of attention to detail and communication with the customer, undermining the overall quality of service.
In summary, Astou African Hair Braiding place has several strengths, such as the ability to accommodate last-minute appointments, a pleasant ambiance, and a wide range of hair selections. However, there are notable weaknesses in terms of the booking process, punctuality, professionalism, and attention to detail. These weaknesses should be addressed in order to improve the overall customer experience and reputation of the salon.

Best KBFKR Reviews

I was able to get in same day I called. I Enjoyed the experience and loved the braids. The setting is inviting and the staff pleasant and courteous. We confirmed the style I had selected and hair selections available on site. The braids were perfect and not to tight. They have three chairs and all were in use. The clientele varied in age groups and each had a different braiding style which was was very interesting. I plan on returning and expanding my hair braiding
Adventure. I am very pleased with the experience and results. Thank you.
Absolutely love my hair! The booking process was so easy and I was in and out when it came time to getting my hair done. The lady was so sweet and was able to fully satisfy all of my needs when it came to getting the style of hair I wanted . I will definitely be back!
Honest Review. Very bad customer service service and no professionalism! I've been searching for a great hair braiding place since I relocated here, and I had high hopes for this place. I read the reviews and saw it was located in a great area in town. The booking of an appointment isn't secure at all which seemed a little sketchy. I was skeptical about booking because they did not have a website to send a secure payment for a deposit and receive confirmation to email. She requested to have the money sent to Cash App which I did not feel comfortable sending money to the cash app to book, so I went to the shop in person to pay and also take the opportunity to take a look at the shop. I took the deposit to the shop two weeks before the appointment and secured my spot for March 25th at 8am. On the day of March 25th, I arrived early at 7:55 am and the owner of the shop greeted me and asked me what was my hair color and what style I was receiving. After I answered she told me to have a seat and she put the cape over me. I waited until 8:15 am and the mother of the hairdresser approached me and I told her I should not pay full price for this hair appointment today because she arrived so late. In a professional setting if a customer is late there is a late fee, and as valued customers paying $200 for service, the hairdresser should also be held accountable for arriving late. The mother’s explanation is that they are unable to do that, her customers arrive late all the time, and that they had to get the hair ready, and that her daughter is not usually late. I explained to her I would have to reconsider this appointment today and make a phone call to see if I would still like to move forward with the appointment. I walked out of the salon to discuss the situation with my mom and when I walked back in the owner of the shop had an attitude. The owner was making it personal and expressing her feelings which is inappropriate because it is about business and not about how you feel because emotions are temporary, and business should be conducted based on the facts. The other customer had arrived late for her appointment and she replied “being late is a human thing to do” and I would say in response that paying full price for a hair appointment to be started on the agreed time is a “human thing to do as well”. We all should all value each other's time because that is something you can not get back and if there is an issue that is caused by the owners expense, the hairdresser should be held accountable for that. A customer should be compensated for their time just like the hairdresser should as well. No matter what culture or ethnic background a person identifies as, “unprofessionalism and accountability” is respected in all cultures. I decided to follow through on the appointment since I had an event that following week and would be hard to find someone else on short notice. As the daughter did my hair she was eating a meal that had a loud odor that made it difficult to enjoy my hair appointment. I believe that this hair shop has a lot of potential but they do not focus on the customer experience and exhibit professional service. The service she performed on my hair was accurate as the picture described but for her quality of work the cost was overpriced. If you are looking for somewhere to do your hair on short notice then you should give them a try but for a customer searching for a hair braiding shop to do their hair on a regular, I would strongly advise to seek out another hair braiding shop.
Since I’ve been in Warner Robins I’ve found a braiding shop that does everything I could ask for.
The women's name is Astou, she does amazing work along with everyone else in her shop.
I appreciate her!!! I could tell her the way I want my hairstyle, she would tell me that she can do it. If I was asking for something ridiculous she’ll let me know that it won’t look right, but find a way to make it perfect! I’m always happy and satisfied when I leave her shop.
All the times I’ve been she never was late or anything was behind ONCE if that.
She’s fast and I never had any complaints. She also did my mom hair and loved it!
Also she always leave my edges out when I ask.
Astou provides amazing services! She is so kind, prompt and he work is beautiful and she strives for perfection!
I loved my kinky twists until I came home and took a closer look in the mirror and realized a plug of hair is missing. They could've at least mentioned to me that they pulled my hair out. I'm not pleased with that.
I absolutely love this place! I love the fact that the owner calls and confirms your appointment. Their work is very detailed and neat. I’m always satisfied with them. This is the only place that I will let braid my hair. Thanks Astou!
Love this shop everyone was friendly and professional. The owner is very nice. The lady that braided my hair was very nice too. Would highly recommend and will also be a returning customer. Thanks so much
