After I got into a car accident, I had my car towed to this shop. The shop manager, Andy, was extremely helpful in speaking to my insurance and was with me every step of the way. His assistant, Desiree was also extremely kind and went above and beyond to explain every step of the insurance process.
When my insurance considered the car a total, I went to the shop to get the items from my car. Unfortunately, when I went to pickup my items, my camera bag, with over $500 worth of equipment, as well as a bottle of cologne I kept in the car, were stolen. Andy had defended his workers as any manager would and told me they don’t steal. Unless my stuff grew legs and walked away, it was obviously stolen.
MAKE SURE TO TAKE YOUR BELONGINGS OUT OF YOUR CAR BEFORE HANDING IT OVER TO THIS SHOP.
Worst Body Shop ever. Andy kept my car for three months, coming up with new stories every few days for 2 months as to why my car would not be ready on time. Always a part ordered was wrong or the last part he needed was on backorder and once it got there he realized he needed an additional part. This happened time after time until he told me he couldnt find brakes and once the brakes got there, he couldnt find the brake pad clips and had to special order those from the manufacturer. So I had to have a full set of brake pads dropped off to him.Once I finally got my car back - after driving, I noticed my car was wobbling when braking. I brought my car to another shop and they showed me he only installed new brake pads on the front passenger side. Also my front bumper he installed is sticking out if front of my headlight, and I got my car back dusty with sticky orange/brown residue on my mirrors and windows. I would never recommend anyone go here and I have no idea how he is still in business.
My car was towed to this shop after it had been in an accident while it was parked. After seeing the reviews I thought I would have a terrible experience but it was too late they were already working on my car to remove it. The owner was always available to answer my questions and inform me of the process. At one point the insurance didn't want to cover a damage they declared from wear and tear and the owner persisted until they finally paid for the damages. I am very pleased with their service. My car was returned to me in excellent condition. You can't even tell it was involved in an accident unless you run a carfax of course. I highly recommend them.
I was just at this shop picking up my car after so many delays with parts which unfortunately isn't the shop's fault. I spoke with the dealership and my insurance company and even though I don't know much about the process I've learned quite a bit. I would not want to be in this business right now as it seems so many issues aren't in the shop's control and they spend half their time explaining to customers and the other half trying to get parts. If they could make the parts they probably would as it is not in their best interest to hold on to cars for months on end. I have a newer car 2019 which I feel is old enough that parts should be in stock but unfortunately when the pandemic hit everything stopped and even though we are now more or less back to normal the manufacturer's aren't back to normal and have tremendous delays. I appreciate all the hard work these guys put into returning my car as fast as they could and keeping me in the loop with the adjuster as far as delays and the process. I would recommend Astoria Heights Auto Collision for any auto body repairs. They return your car looking better than it was before the accident. Thanks guys for all your help and support through this insurance claim. I really appreciate it.
Absolute worse body shop out here. They are just a complete scam! Trying to get as much money as possible doesn’t work well with anyone! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CAR TO GET TOWED HERE EITHER! It’s a complete headache! Best auto body shop out here is ALL CiTY in valley stream! They will be there to help you and guide you in the right direction.
They are always aiming to make money on the side and never thinking about the customer had a bad experience I don’t recommend do not call them for a tow. guy will make a lie forcing you to take it to there own Lott and not you’re desired location then charge you a crazy price for holding it for a few days+ towing or repair you could find a way better spot then this especially just by googling do not settle for this spot
Do not under any circumstances go here, they are con artists and scammers
Astoria Heights Auto Collision inc did a great job on my car and really helped me out through the process of fixing my car. I would definitely recommend them if you need anything for auto body repairs and work.
