Literally my fave Chinese place since I was a kid. I'm so picky about chicken breading and egg rolls and this place has good quality chicken with perfect breading, and their egg rolls are my favorite in town. Definitely recommend if you're looking for quick, good Chinese food.
Just ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was hard as a brick. You can tell it was leftovers for the day or two before and over refried.
The food has been very good typically from this location, and I have ordered countless times via Uber eats with no issues. However now they somehow can’t handle a grouped order and will cancel it, like they did this evening. I’ve ordered group orders from Asian Wok before, so apparently management just decided they don’t want to label anything anymore so no group orders. Very LAME Asian Wok, very disappointed and won’t make the mistake of bothering you with another order. Peace
Everybody has their hole in the wall place for americanized chinese food and this is mine. I’ve been going here since I was little and one of the men working behind the counter was a teenager. We’ve moved all around St. Pete yet still make the voyage over here whenever we want chinese takeout because it’s that good. My family quite literally won’t get takeout chinese elsewhere.
We always get a lo mein, bourbon chicken, crab rangoon, and general tsos. They are consistently good and I can’t tell you the last time they’ve messed up our order or given us less than ideal food. The food and menu hasn’t changed over the years and neither has the quality. I know the place only had 4 stars, but I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will defend it to anyone. This place is a staple in my family’s life and honestly of my childhood.
The food itself is always hot and sizable portions for how much you pay. I’ve never had undercooked chicken or lo mein. The bourbon chicken is my absolute favorite and is always perfectly charred and seasoned. The general tsos is always good and never too saucy.
First time having Chinese food during the pandemic. Was very clean and they weren’t letting any customers into the restaurant which I liked. You just pick up at the window. The ingredients were fresh and the food was tasty. Love the food containers they use as well. Nothing cheap. Didn’t mess anything up on the order and gave lots of condiments as well. Will definitely come back!
The food was literally amazing.. They stay on their menu that they do not add MSG and they only use low salt content in their foods.. So please I had shrimp egg foo young pepper steak, crab rangoon, and house special fried rice with added chicken.. everything came out prompt and hot and fresh. Would recommend going to this location to get delicious Asian cuisine.
I put an order in for 7pm online (35min away). When I arrived, @7pm, it wasn’t ready. I went next door to get a drink that was non-carbonated (because they have none) and returned to get my order at 7:08. I was handed my order and drove home. As I pulled down my street, I received a phone call saying they gave me the wrong order. I drove back to get my order and eventually got home with luke-warm food only to open the bag and find they didn’t get my order correct. The spring rolls were missing and the generals chicken didn’t translate correctly somehow and wasn’t spicy at all (as shown on the receipts pictured). The Pad Thai was mostly noodles and very little chicken. I called to tell them they did not include the spring rolls after all this trouble. She explained to me that she would refund my card. I agreed laughingly and hung up as I paid cash. What a joke?!? I came to this establishment based on the reviews and I hope this experience was a one time occurrence but we won’t be returning and I feel as if I’d be doing the community a disservice if I didn’t leave a review after I chose this restaurant based strictly on the reviews. Fortune cookie should have read, “suckers!”
I have been consistently ordering food from Asian Wok and their food has been consistently delicious. No where else can one obtain this quality of food for their very affordable prices. My favorites so far are their egg rolls, boneless spareribs, bourbon chicken, and garlic chicken wings. I would highly recommend giving their restaurant a try if you haven’t already. You’ll get hooked. Their staff is always very efficient and pleasant to deal with.
