Visiting here with my children yesterday and had a bad experience with the food although the aesthetics and customer service was decent. Luckily I tried a variety of the foods before my children got back with their food to eat. Several of the meats smelled and tasted spoiled. The jalapeno chicken, beef and peppers, and tacos all tasted as the staff used expired meats. I told my children not to those foods or the seafoods because I didn't want them getting sick. So that reduced their options to fried rice, noodles, sesame chicken, hot wings, fruits, and desserts. $70 spent to not be able to eat half of the foods was a horrible experience. I also ended up with an upset stomach later that night. Luckily my kids didn't get sick.
When we asked about getting some soda to drink we were told that there was only tea, water, or lemonade. They had fountain drinks with Mountain Dew in the back, which is what I had asked for, The person that I was with also wanted soda. Loved the food though.
Worst food ever. Only redeeming factor is we didn't get food poisoning. For $14 for lunch it was not worth the money for the swill they offered
Less than half the spaces for food had food, few things labeled were incorrect, no sushi or hibachi, Friday dinner time and only 1 other table. What was out looked and tasted like it sat out all day. $14 a person. Tables dirty and sticky. Had to pay upon entry before seeing buffet etc.
I came in tonight thinking dinner would be somewhat fresh around 7 p.m. Boy was I wrong. The food was not only stale, but dried out. Very limited selection, and what was sitting out was obviously old. Check out the picture of the time marker. They all have the same marked time. The cook had nothing else better to do than watch the patrons skim over what they considered to be food. She occasionally would get up and stir the items around in the buffet. This supposed restaurant is falling apart. Most of the booths were ripped as well.
I was dragged in here by a fellow vegan who swore this was the one place they could get vegan mai fun. They were right about the mai fun dish being vegan (once we tasted it and we both had a reaction to something in it which I can bet was just cross contamination ) This is definitely not a place I would revisit. First big reason for me which I don't count against them in my rating is the lack of vegan options. Posibly 9-10 options including the fruit.
The food was either salty or tasteless. The spring rolls were stale and fried plantains were old. The selection of food was mixed with mexican quesadillas and tacos and a few other mexican-ish dishes.
The atmosphere is interesting. Being that this buffet is located in a mexican shopping mall it makes some sence. The fusion is quite noticable as you walk in to Mexican cantina music and papel picado decor. ( Later music changed to a happier beat with some norteñas ???? )
Moderately priced. We stopped by around 4 pm and it was pretty quiet. The staff was somewhat helpful when asking about ingredients.
Basically not your typical chinese buffet.
Cold food, nothing on buffet line was HOT - just warm at best!
Did taste good - just not correct temperature.
The service was horrible. The food was really bad. We asked for lemon and we didn’t get it at all. Some of the options of food looked days old. I completely do not recommend.
