Had a customer and her three children in desperate need of transportation as their car broke down and we were towing it. After waiting with customer and attempting multiple times to find an Uber or a Lyft to accommodate her, the three children and their luggage (which her roadside service provider was going to pay for) we were unsuccessful. A simple phone call to Anywhere Taxi and not only did they show up literally within ten minutes, but with a minivan and helpful hands to load the luggage and safely get our customer home. I cannot thank this company enough for helping us- help our customer. Will recommend to all our future customers
I will say 3 1/2 stars they never made it to pick me up according to the gentleman that dropped me off at home from my appt they were asked to take me to my appt but were in Decatur or somewhere that they could not get to me in the time to get me to my appt so I had to take a Lyft to the appt.
Went out there way to pick us up and take us back to the hotel after closing hours. Very much appreciated and forever grateful
It's a great service just hard to get a hold of sometimes.
I cannot put into words how terrifying the ride was that my friends and I took with Anywhere Taxi was. My friend called because Uber was taking too long to return us to our air bnb in Rhinebeck from a restaurant in Kingston.
The gentleman from anywhere taxi answered and we let him know that we had 6 people and we're going to Rhinebeck and he said he could take us for $40 and be there to pick us up in 15 mins. When he arrived he was a driving a vehicle that could accommodate a total of 5 people including him. We were 6 people, 7 including the driver. When we questioned him he said his mini van was not in working condition and suggested that we pile in and have two people sit in the front. We said that's not safe and decided to get in and scrunch into the back seat with 5 in the back 3-seater and one friend sat in the front.
The driver asked for my friend in the passenger seat to route him using her phone, he repeatedly answered his cell phone as he was driving, and mid way through the rude told us we would actually need to pay an additional $1.75 for the toll to go over the Hudson. We said no, we wouldn't be paying the toll because we were already riding in unsafe conditions and we're not in the vehicle that we were quoted for. He laughed and told us to calm down.
While on the bridge he joked that since we were actually closer to the restaurant than he thought, he should have only charged us $20....
My friend in the passenger seat answered back that yet we should only be paying $20 and he responded that he was only job king and we should learn to take a joke, he said well you can get out of the car if you want, you could jump off the bridge if you want. When we said that was an inappropriate thing to say, he said he was joking and the world is a crazy place.
At this point my girlfriends and I made eye contact and agreed that we needed to just stay silent until getting home because we had no idea what this guy was capable of. We were scared for our lives in a very real way.
Got my friend to the train station just in time! Highly recommended!
There phone never works keeps saying number is unavailable
I was overcharged for a ride, more than twice the initial price estimate. In the middle of the ride when I found out. I walked home. I'll not use this company again.
