This is one of the most important food venues I’ve known. Being a neighborhood resident of Barrio Anita for years and getting to know the family that runs this establishment is just a cherry on top for a phenomenal meal. It’s a cultural beacon and a social staple, definitely worthy of loyal patronage and visitors. Try their empanadas and the breakfast tamales for an excellent meal. ????????
Love, love’ love Anita’s Street Market! Happily will drive across town for their tortillas. Plus, the red chili is to die for. I’m so proud of the family for sticking to it and bringing Anita’s back to us. God bless you.
Found this place on a random FB post. Came in with a friend for Big Breakfast Burritos. A great homemade replacement for those fast food joints. I highly recommend the stop. A little pricey, but it's homemade and local, not imported from some factory or corporate warehouse supply chain. Worth the hike, from my taste experience today. Come get some.
We stop by this place on a recommendation from a friend. Very cute market in the middle of a residential neighborhood. They are quite a few people there waiting around for to go orders which to me is a great sign that the food will be good. The service we got was very friendly and a positive experience. I ordered the big breakfast burrito which I thought was just a little bit pricey, but it did taste good. I just wish they used a little bit more seasoning. My wife ordered the carne asada and although the texture and the burrito were good, the meat was very salty. I enjoyed my order more than she enjoyed hers. I think it's one of those types of restaurants where you have to know what their specialties are, and then order that. It was our first time in. I will definitely give these guys a second try because I love the small businesses like this like I said before the place was really cute, it was very clean great service. A portions were huge so if you're looking for food that you can actually break up into two meals this is the spot for you. The garden seating area outside and so unique. Go ahead support small businesses and give these guys a try.
Amazing tortillas! We ordered breakfast burritos with chorizo, egg, and potato and the birria pizza. All had great flavor and were a good portion. Friendly family owned business. Thank you Gracie!
Just visiting and looking up Breakfast Burritos in Tucson, came across Anita's. This place did not disappoint! We love small shops like this, this is one to remember. Highly recommend checking this place out!
So the food here is very fresh and very tasty but the wait takes FOREVER. We waiting at least 30-40 minutes for a simple order. To be fair, they do have signs posted saying food is made to order and wait times may increase and I believe they are short handed in the kitchen. The cashier is very nice and welcoming but I think she is the only one that worked up front. The mom and I think other family were up front just sitting and not doing anything. When I went up front to ask for a fork the mom looked at me and just looked away and kept talking... thanks...
I'd say it's worth going ifnyou dont mind waiting a good while. Also, call your order in to save the wait.
Great chorizo burrito, it had no potatoes, I was told this after 20 minutes of waiting... Slightly disappointed after arriving, drove from San Diego just to try their legendary machaca burrito and they didn't have it at 9:45 in the morning. Customer service from the front lady wasn't all that either. Oh well, on to the next stop. I am upgrading to 3 stars for the chorizo that I purchased here to cook at home.
