I paid $30 for a 'fade,' but I'm disappointed with the result. When you look at the side of my head, it appears as though a barber student cut my hair. There are clearly defined lines, and no fade was achieved. It's frustrating how some barbers charge premium prices but deliver mediocre haircuts. Lastly, what’s upsetting is that he looks at me and says, is it OK?, you as a barber know that you didn’t produce quality. This is supposed to be your bread butter. When I show up to work I give 110% and I give quality Work not mediocre work and expect to get paid.
I had a great experience here. I had pretty long overgrown hair and booked an appointment with Jordan. He did a fantastic job and matched the styling i showed him perfectly. 10/10
Before I even knew Andy’s barber shop, I knew Carol from a previous shop that I use to go to just for her. From the first time that she cut my hair I saw potential and effort. She will take the time to make sure you’re satisfied, and comfortable! She is one hell of a barber that I won’t let go of! Can’t find many barbers like CAROL! ☺️
My first visit was a five star. A younger guy who actually took his time had cut my hair. This made me want to come back, but when I came back he was not there. So I had another older guy cut it and he was going through some personal issues that made him rush the haircut. I then came back and there was a female who messed up a simple taper. I believe she was still getting her hours in for her certification. The last and final time I will go there.
It’s Christmas Eve. I just need a haircut. I’m in a sour mood.
There’s only one barber, her name is Carol. I tell her what I want done. I know it’s not going to come out right because I’m only home for a couple weeks and haven’t had time to find a barber I like and can trust. Whatever.
The instant she touches my head, I can feel the confidence and professional aptitude in her hands. No doubt, she’s on a mission.
This was one of the most relaxing, comforting, and soothing services I’ve ever received. My haircut, beard trim, and even a hot towel and straight razor shave, were all fantastic experiences. Carol is a consummate professional. She offered suggestions to my beard, to which I shrugged and tossed her the keys:
“I trust you. You drive, I’m just along for the ride.”
I look great. I feel great. Everything’s going to be alright.
See you in two weeks, Carol.
We've brought our kid here a few times since we moved to Newhall. Every time the haircut was fantastic and we especially appreciated having a locally owned place that did an artisan-style job as an option over the chain places.
We went in today at 4:30 (they close at 6.) They asked if we had an appointment...we didn't (but hadn't ever had one before.) The barber saw my kids hair (which had grown a little long since the last time we had been in) and declared he doesn't do long hair. Not sure if it was just the end of the day and he didn't want to add another job, or if he just really wasn't capable of giving a scissors haircut. Either way it's the first time in my decades of going to a barber shop that they basically said they don't cut hair.
Super disappointed at this waste of time and we definitely won't be back.
There was no waiting and walk-ins are welcome, unlike many of the other barbers in the area. The barber who cut my hair was very eager to please. The one issue I had was the electric clippers he used blew out air. I'm not sure if that was by design but, with a mask on, cut hair was blown into my mask, which was a bit irritating. I'm sure he had no idea. My very fine hair is difficult to cut without showing cuts after the next shampooing. The barber did a good job in that respect. Unfortunately, he didn't pay attention to how I had my hair combed when I got there. When he was finished, I was taken back to the hair style I had as a child. Easy to fix when I left but I like a barber who pays attention to such details. It seems the price of a haircut has gone up everywhere and their price of $25 seems to be the going rate.
Best service I've had in a long time! Carol did an amazing job on my cut and took no shortcuts. I will be returning regularly. ????
