Best WLM Reviews

Small town Tex-Mex, decent spot.
TL:DR
Very friendly service and great atmosphere, but don't expect to be blown away by the food. Get the white queso dip and avoid the desserts and you'll enjoy the trip!
Details:
Came here on a business trip through town, and we were told this was the best Mexican around. I think with all the recommendations, I set my sights a little too high.
The server and all the staff were friendly, particularly one of the owners who gave us some good recommendations on food.
The white queso was much better than average, thicker than your typical tex-mex, and great flavor.
The salsa, red and green, were just okay. The rest of the food was on par with any tex-mex in the south - nothing special, but definitely edible.
I think my biggest disappointment was the flan. It tasted like it had been frozen and was not quite finished thawing, and the flavor was just not as rich as I expect in flan.
Overall, definitely a decent spot, just don't set your sights too high and you will be fine.
The food was exceptionally good. The atmosphere is amazing. We were seated immediately but the only thing I can say is our server was very rude. She didn’t check on us and rushed us out of the restaurant trying to get us to pay our bill while we were right in the middle of our dinner. I didn’t want to leave a negative review in any way. I even made a comment about it to the cashier and she thought it was funny. I wasn’t laughing. I drove from Texarkana to Hope to eat here. We enjoyed the food but customer service is awful. We definitely won’t make a 30 minute trip again for horrible service no matter how good the food is!
My meal was very tasty with a lot of shrimp. Good cups and salsa. Margarita was a little off
We enjoy authentic Mexican food - hot and spicy. This was very Americanized and a bit bland but for folks who don’t fancy a lot of heat to their food, it is perfect. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. Hope doesn’t seem to have a lot of choices for sit down restaurants (not fast food). This is one of the best.
Waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Very colorful and fun. Brought a large bowl it tortilla chips and three different bowls, two red sauces and one verde. Tasted more like tomato sauce than anything. Not very flavorful and very little cilantro. The food was very good Dos amigos was very good. Chicken and shrimp was cooked very well. Husband had a ground beef burrito which was bland to him. It was a very friendly place though.
This is a must visit location the next time you are in. Hope Arkansas. This little gym has some of the most delicious Mexican food I have tasted since I lived in Mexico. When you go there, ask for a server by the name of Baili she will melt your heart.
From the moment we sat down she greeted us with a smile, and authentic smile, not plastic paste of looking to gain a tip. Soft-spoken sweet knowledgeable of the menu. She took our orders and served us with absolute excellence through the entire meal. The owner even came out and we got to watch them touch each of the tables checking in on them making sure that everything was done correctly and then everyone was happy. A good old fashioned well coordinated team.
My favorite drink was the jalapeno margarita. I know, I know it sounds crazy but this was the best margarita I've ever had. We had the tacos from the menu and they were sublime. I would imagine that anything on that menu will come out tasting. Amazing. My wife and I sat and just observed the staff observe the people and it was such a refreshing site. Even the Patriots were kind and chatty with other Patriots. Good old fashioned hometown, small hometown. Goodness.
Again, this is a must visit the next time you are in Hope Arkansas. They are not open on Sundays so plan accordingly
This is a really really great place to grab a bite, especially if you're on the highway. Bright, fun decor, and the food was good, the staff was alright not great. Would be a five star but the rice was over cooked on the taco dish, and the wait staff was very slow and inattentive. They would rather gab in the back looking at us. That being so, our wait person was very friendly and nice when we did see her. I would go again.
I love the friendly staff, great service, colorful atmosphere, great food and yummy Margaritas.
I love that they cook with vegetable oil, not lard!!!
