Rooms are awful, soiled towels and bedding. Shortly after receiving my key I walked inside my rooms and quickly requested a refund and was told no refunds. This place is a trap and should be avoided at all cost. This business should not have a license to operate as a hotel in any state or city. Read the owner’s comments and proceed with caution. Recommend not investing as much in cameras and purchase towels and linens…you are in the hospitality industry not security.
Hotel is under new management - they were very nice. Just redid half the rooms and they are working on the rest. Room was also clan and had a refrigerator and microwave. I accidentally left something valuable behind and they immediately notified me so I could come get it.
This hotel is awful…soiled towels and linens. Buyer beware…no refund. You paid upfront and then you are given a key…ask to view room before paying. Recommend driving to Thomasville, Alabama for the Holiday Inn Express.
The room are nicer than they have been in awhile, but I feel that the owner is just money hungry. He charges for how many people are in a room. He does not have a set rate on rooms. I feel the cameras on the room doors is a little disturbing. I stayed there and I was wondering did he have cameras in the room. I understand that the camera is also a safety measure but it just a little weird to me. The only reason I stayed was because the the other motel was booked and we was trying to be safe from the storm. 105.00 for one night is a alot and you don't get a breakfast or nothing. Just my opinion.
We stayed here last night. The room was clean and well stocked. The room was good sized. It looked like the room had just been painted. The carpet look new. The bed was a little soft for my liking but it slept fine one it. The was a reclinert and a desk chair in the room. The TV was a large LED TV. We had direct tv with a good choose of channels. The owners were friendly and helpful. It looks like they are trying to update the property. It is also pet friendly. Food and gas nearby. Would stay again while traveling in the area. |
It wasnt about the stay but about the staff. Thank you so much for the return of my Passport. All worked out well in the end. Thanks for the effort put in to get this document to me. The stay was good as well, i was there as part of a work crew and during our stay the rooms were kept clean and tidy as they have always done in the 10 years i have been coming there. Thanks again.
Stayed here in June for 6 nights with a group visiting Camden to do volunteer work. Only stayed here because it is 1 of only 2 hotels in the town - and the other one is worse! The hotel is just old and broken down. Definitely needs a thorough cleaning. Don't count on the continental breakfast, either. Once I saw the condition of the lobby area I wasn't about to touch any food that came out of there. It reeked of mildew and years of dirt and dust. I came prepared with lysol, detergent, and a few other cleaning supplies and was glad I did. Toilet was dirty, sink was dirty, countertops were dusty, and I didn't even bother looking at the sheets, just covered them up with the mattress cover and sheets I brought with me. Other reviewers complained the beds were flat, but our King bed was a fairly new, thick pillowtop mattress, and we slept comfortably every night. ||||Positive notes: (1) no bedbugs! (2) A/C in the rooms was ICE COLD. My hubby likes it cold and even he had to turn the A/C down (3) all of the rooms have microwaves and min-refrigerators, which was nice. There's a Piggly Wiggly down the street that we utilized to get some groceries (4) free WIFI (5) pleasant staff.
Surprisingly good and clean. Camden is a small town so this motel is not like the big name guys, but it was clean and well kept on the inside. $122 for 3 days and 2 nights. Check them out if you are ever in Camden...for some odd reason. Lol
