Best WLM Reviews
Absolutely the best French toast with tres leches. Thick cut home made challah bread. Tender, moist but not mushy. Not too sweet. With lots of berries on the side. Order this, please.
I’ll start this out with an explanation, I think this new restaurant could be amazing but they fell short a few too many times for a 5 star review.
It’s pretty easy to find. Straight in the main entrance of the hotel and you will see it.
To start, I choose 2 beers, neither of them were in stock (out of 6 total beers).
So I had to choose a third that they did have.
They have kitschy ice spheres that you are supposed to get a little hammer with to break and release some of the spirits for their cocktails. We ordered one and it was about twenty dollars but the ice sphere was already broken. If you’re going to have a cool concept like that, it should be functional 100% of the times. It was really disappointing. For food, The dinner rolls and the slightly sweet butter they are accompanied by are fantastic. If you want another roll they charge you two dollars for them which is silly when your total bill will be over a hundred easily. The cheese board was good but the soppressata wasn’t spicy at all. My pork porterhouse was very good, but I was never asked for a temp. It came out well done, and probably would have been even better (and definitely more tender) if done at medium. The potato purée was pretty good as well (al la carte). Overall a good experience and would give it another shot if I ever found myself back in Miami.
Lovely outdoor anniversary dinner. Service was warm and attentive. Shared the burrata salad, then got cauliflower entree (me) and chilean sea bass (my husband), topped off with key lime pie. All were lovely. The manager even brought us complementary champagne for our anniversary. We enjoyed drinks before and after on the lovely adjacent patio with huge hanging basket chairs. Would definitely come again!
Large outdoor patio. No printed kids menu but upon asking they offered a burger, pasta, or grilled chicken. Food was excellent, ambiance great but service was a little slow. Pleasant staff but slow to take order or bring drinks may have been busy inside. Convenient as a hotel guest to not have to search for a great meal.
Ambersweet was closed but there is a limited menu available at the hotel's bar. For veg options, I had the mushroom parpadelle which was delicious, though a bit small for the price.
Service was poor to say the least. However, with 21% gratuity included proudly stated on the menu I assumed upon being seated that service would be poor. Food was mediocre at best. Lots of rice and pasta and cheap filler and after a $110 dinner for two ended up at CVS across the street to get a refrigerated sandwich. Would not recommend and will not return.
The service is absolutely horrible. We ate here twice out of convenience, and both times the food was mediocre and service horrible. When we ate dinner, we had to ask for water and refills 3-4 times every time. And the waiter would disappear for long periods. The beer took 10 minutes to arrive. Our appetizer arrived frozen in the center. Then we had to ask for the check 4 times over 20 minutes at the end.
We had lunch there on our last day thinking the food might be a bit better than the pool food. I ordered a manhattan, which I had to ask for again 4 times over the course of 32 minutes. Then the drink arrived with the ice melted and 5 cherries floating in it - disappointing for a 24 dollar drink. Our food took forever and we had to ask for water 3 times before we were able to get any. The food itself was okay, maybe a 6.5 or 7 out of 10.
For the price of the food, and automatic 20% tip, I would expect much better. Lunch alone for 1 cocktail, 1 beer, a chicken sandwich, and a salad, was $104.
Would recommend leaving the property or ordering in, rather than going to this restaurant. The Italian restaurant next door was much better.
You can never find a host and if you wait at the entrance no one will pay attention to you. We finally just walked in and had a server seat us at the table. Table was extremely sticky. Server wiped it, but it needed more cleaning than that. After we ordered oysters for appetizers and main course, we never saw server again for about 30 minutes. I asked about our oysters and server said he will check on them. After another 15-20 minutes of not seeing our server, we have left. There was no one to even inform that we no longer wish to dine at this place.
