I was referred to contact Allen's truck & auto electric by Haneys Tire - due to a complex electrical cooling fan issue. I called Allen's on 3 separate occasions. The phone msg was " leave your name and phone number and we'll get back to you. I wish I could report a positive experience with Allen's. I'm still going to try and have them fix my cooling fan issue, and my next move is going to that shop with my car for a evaluation...if they are as competent and do the job that I've been told they will do , then I look forward to giving a five star rating.
They never answer the phone. I asked about a cooling fan issue and he didn't even look at the car he just gave me the name of a part and went about his day. I was referred here by 2 different garages and he is no help. Don't think he cares for beforeertain types of people and I will leave it there..
I was recommend this place for a electrical fix from another garage. The shop seemed like an abandoned house but people scurried about as I arrived. While my problem was eventually asked about and discussed no effort into listening was used. I explained my problem to a tee even describing to an exact point where the electrical failure happened and blank stares where met. "Yea I'll get to it if you can leave it here".... well the usual fare I supposed. I was told I would be called back promptly when solutions where found (yard is empty, one other customer). I had to call back over 4 hours later to get any information after I tried to explain I worked a 3rd shift and needed to know before 5:30 or whenever the plan was to call (I'd have to pick the car up the next day at this point after a ridiculous $200 quote I had to ask if I would be charged to garage overnight...thankfully not). After was all said and done the explanation of the fix was almost verbatim what I said to him when I asked if he could fix it. Then the charge was $150...for a splice and plastic connector replacement. "The cost is in the knowledge... haven't worked on one of those in so long..." seemed like weak excuses for a simple wire fix. Must seem like internet courage but I held a wad of cash in my hand and thought for a while about just cold cocking the guy in the jaw for asking that much and previously claiming it could be up to $200. Instead I wrote this stupid review that will probably be filtered. Either way I'm sick of this small town "I don't know you so I'll screw you" attitude. I suppose the money I overpaid saved me from fighting some old guy or getting an assault charge.
I would say this - a great combination of professionalism and desire to help. Quickly and efficiently! We were surprised at the low price for real help. Repaired some parts of the alternator. Even if everything is fine, just make a stop to greet the master! He is a worthy craftmaster! Artur and Sergey from Russia and Ukraine.
He track down the problem and fixed it quickly. Would recommend. I know you have to pay for things, but I always try to find a bargain.
Part of my problem was fixed, I paid the bill then and was given a receipt that only showed
Labor $$$.$$
Taxes $$.$$
Nothing showing what the problem was
Just said wiring.

If I could give 100 stars for this business I would. Excellent service.
