Excellent Service!
I called Allen Auto Repair, and Robert happened to be in Roche Harbor, 6 minutes from our location. He drove straight to us and diagnosed the problem, at night in the dark. He then ordered parts, but wrong parts came, then he drove off island to get the right parts. Came back to our location, did the repairs, and my truck runs fine. Yes this all took about 4 days. We're stuck on an island with no parts local.
We were on vacation, from Canada, and stuck with a 'Check Engine' light on, and the truck running in 'Limp' mode with no power. My other option was towing the truck to Burlington.
Robert did everything he could to help us out, and then followed up several days later to make sure that we had gotten home and the truck was still running fine, which it is.
I Highly recommend Allen Auto Repair.
Called about getting a quote on some basic matainence done on my smart car. When he arrived to look at the car my neighbor told me he had cut him off. After he looked at the car, he said he would be in touch. He never called back. I left a few messages and a few texts... he just completely ignored me. I'm not sure what it is, but many businesses on island suffer from a total lack of professionalism and common courtesy. Unfortunately, Allen Auto Repair is among them.

Brought in a Volvo S70, Robert, the owner, gave his full attention to address the issues I was having with the hood release and the power steering.
Was able to make an appointment right away, parts shipped very quickly, and the car was ready on time.
As the other reviews have said, fast, reliable, well priced, great customer service!
Robert saved the day! Broke down as far from home as we could have possibly felt on our road trip, and we thought we were doomed. We had my cousins wedding rehearsal dinner within hours, and we basically wrote it off. But within 2 hours of calling, Robert had us back on the road (alternator replacement), and we made the dinner. Grateful for his kindness and good work. Thanks Robert!
When our car broke down, we called Robert for help. He took an early ferry over the next morning and diagnosed the problem (failed water pump and associated issues). He ordered a new pump, picked it up and took another ferry trip back over to fix it and make sure everything else was running right.
He's honest, smart, quick and efficient. We couldn't recommend him more highly!

We are visiting from out of town and had some issues with a screeching tire (to the point of considering a tow truck), but Robert came to our rescue! He drove to meet us on the side of the road! He was super friendly and helpful. He seemed to know right away what the issue was, and it only took a couple of minutes for him to dislodge a rock from our wheel. Incredible. Thank you SO much, Robert! Highly recommended and amazing service!
