Visited the Algonac Flaming Grill today for a late lunch. Their Double Bacon Cheeseburger is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Cooked to perfection as I ordered, two huge burgers each with bacon plus lettuce, tomato and onion. The fries were great too. The service was top notch and all the staff were super friendly. We will definitely eat here again when we visit. Algonac is a lovely town with a great boardwalk on the St.Clair river. Well worth a visit.
My medium-well burger had raw chunks inside still. My girlfriend's chicken pita had plastic wrap in it. I'd asked for no ice and for no tomato, neither of these requests were respected. My girlfriend ordered a glass of wine and we got billed $15 for the whole bottle. I've been coming here for years but we've had similar experiences a few times consecutively. I'm disappointed. They took the chicken and the wine off the bill for us, which is why I didn't rate service poorly
Just moved to area and stopped in. The beef barley soup was very good. We got a burger and fries..that was also good. We also got meatloaf dinner. The helping was very good. I did notice prices on high side for a Coney style place. I think the coneys are priced over $3.00 a pc..that's most I ever seen. We will be back and try more.
Ordered a carry out. Grilled chicken pita. The chicken was horrible. Not grilled, chewy, terrible. My last time from going to this place. My husbands chicken strips were undercooked and looked like frozen strips. Tried to give it a chance again. No more threw our food in the garbage. Only reason not returned was because they closed!
Do not recommend.
Just moved to the area a few months ago and this is the second time we've gotten food here. The first time, the soup was amazing. Yet, the chicken strips tasted like a McDonald's nugget that had sat too long. But ok, stuff happens.
Today we tried it again, mainly for soup because I'm sick and it was terrible! Doubt we'll be returning. Sad too because everyone preaches about this place.
Very good place to eat.. my husband and I are from out of town, and we happen to stop here for breakfast, and we received great service, and great food. Definitely recommend ????????
I have never had anything other than an excellent meal here with excellent service. Breakfast or lunch, reliably tasty & generous! Just had their patty melt: perfection! Even their fries are better than elsewhere. No one makes a special request corn-beef hash “crispy” like Flaming Grill. The grits portions are huge—as most everything. So much, it’s like getting a 2nd meal to go! Great variety from Greek to Mexican to All American & more. Interior is always immaculate & attractive. Lots of comfy Booths! Such pleasant wait staff…& whoever is working the kitchen sure does it well!!!
So this happens every time. Ask for well done hash browns, they were raw and still hard in the center, and just barely brown on the outside top. Sent them back and specifically made sure to get them WELL DONE, they came back exactly the same, so I said I don't want them, over half done with my omelet by this time, I said take them off my bill then, he deducted .95cents, and I had not one bite of hash browns. This has happened almost everytime I eat here, this owner is a joke!!!! I will NEVER go back there, way to many chances givin, and never no solutions. Save ur money people, it's just not worth it, and his prices are out of this world!! A 2 star restaurant with 5 star prices!!! Never again!!
