My partner and I went in to try the Taco Tuesday Specials. We got a few Tacos de Adobada and also we ordered one of their plate combos on burritos and everything was delicious!
We will be going back! Definitely recommend.
I was really happy with how hot and fast the service was. I got a breakfast burrito and the tortilla was perfectly toasted and chewy. The red salsa was nicely spicy. I will be back for dinner in the near future. Oh and the portion size was great for the price.

I've lived in Phoenix my whole life up until 6 months ago and this place is closest in comparison to a Filiberto's but the food is better.
At this place you order and then sit down. I ordered the taco and enchilada combo with rice and beans. It's probably the best rice and beans I've ever had. The taco and enchilada were good as well but they were the typical tasting Mexican food.
I was here in the evening time and it was not full at all. They have a salsa bar but no chips. Not sure if they ever have chips but there weren't any when I was there.
I've eaten both here and the Mexican food place directly across from here that I won't name. The other place is nicer inside with better service but this place, the food is cheaper and better. The other place you sit down and they take your order. The other place would be better to bring a date is the best way to put it.
Ordered the cheese enchiladas. Cheese wasn't even melted in the enchiladas so they were pretty well cold. All the tables were filthy, but I only ordered because there were still quite a few people in there so I figured they were just busy and haven't gotten to them yet. Maybe the burritos and tacos are better. IDK. Service was good though and the food came out fast.
This is the Alfonso's location you want to eat at. Always full salsa bar, great taste, friendly employees and consistent serving portions every time! Real mexican culture and food.
I really love their specials especially the street tacos on Tuesday but I noticed nobody has posted the sheet with the specials list so I'm doing that.
100% Solid Mexican food. Is it the best I've ever had -no. Food alone is 4.25 stars.
But when I need my fix of street tacos real quick or a breakfast burrito I come here versus some of the other spots. It is because they're actually friendly here and go out of their way to be nice and that alone makes them stand out from other restaurants that are rated about the same.
Amazing quality and quantity!! Never been so full from 4 small tacos before- they really filled them up! Service was good and fast. I’ll definitely be back for more taco Tuesday’s!!
This has been our "go to" for fast food mexican food fir a few years, but we've noticed a decline in quality over the past few months. Attached is a photo from our recent order of carnitas. A huge chunk of fat, gristle, etc. Knife is in photo to show how big it is. We got the food for take out, so we couldn't ask for a replacement.
