The bar area is my favorite view. The staff is us usually pretty prompt to get you seated and take your order. The DRINKS are beautiful, balanced and delicious, the food is very good. The Steamed Pork Dumplings are incredible! If you're in a hurry to leave ask for your check before you are finished and cash out to save time. Try the Cucumber Martini. It's like a drink and a vodka infused cucumber snack! Great atmosphere for a chill date night close to home or a quick lunch break if you are nearby.
Me and my oldest daughter ordered today Uber eats and THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST SUSHI I HAVE TASTE IN YEARS! Super authentic flavor. Nice size sushi fresh authentic ingredients I could go on for days. You have yourself a customer 10 out of 10
Update... Vitoria is such a wonderful server, her smile and professional customer skills absolutely brighten the room. Again Akaya Grill proves they are consistent with their quality and hospitality.. My server Bing was amazing, her friendliness and outgoing personality is sometimes hard to find, I highly recommend this restaurant....

My Hibachi order was perfect, tasted sooooo good. I loved it. I couldn't have asked for a better server, Kelly was awesome. So very professional.
Took the kids and grandbaby here tonight to celebrate their wedding anniversary. For 4 people and the baby (who, btw was soooo excited to get to eat sushi again!) full course meals for the guys (soup, salad and then combo of two proteins for their fried rice and noodles with hibachi veggies too) along with our mixed drinks and dinner drinks --plus the baby wanted mochi ice cream for the first time and she LOVED it!--came to right around $200, which is pretty dang good especially THESE DAYS taking into consideration all the food we ate, plus my husband's appetizer and all that sushi plus cocktails from the bar? Very very good price!
A great time was had by all. I was so so looking forward to salmon negiri which is my fav sushi in the world...salmon raw is like smooth sweet butter in the mouth. It just melts and is so so delicious. Once you put flame to it, however, the oils come out when heated and then it turns fishy (to me at least) and I simply cannot stand the taste once it's cooked. Same with tuna in my opinion. Cook it and it's all fishy flavored, but raw it's like sweet beef flavored stuff, all melty and delicious...I'm just allergic to tuna and shrimp now so I have to be careful. Some of the "krab" sticks they use is made from wheat products mixed with fish and shrimp. You'd never know without going thru the ingredients with a fine toothed comb.
After looking forward to eating my own sushi (2 with eel and the 3 lil pieces of salmon negiri), I was staring at my plate, taking in the beauty of the almost candy-striped salmon. So gorgeous! I wanted to take it all in. I should've covered it up instead!! What happened? Well, my grand daughter saw me looking so amazed at my salmon negiri that it literally (and mind you, she only ever eats the California roll) snatched her attention from her own food to mine! "Nana?", she asked, "What's that stuff?", she said pointing across my sushi plate to the salmon. I explained to her that it was salmon just on a little bit of sushi rice. "Can I try please?", she asked. Even her Mom was shocked. Miss Picky doesn't EVER want to try anything new it seems. So I told her what it should taste like and she immediately shoved the entire thing (minus a lil bit of the rice) in her mouth. Then her eyes popped open so wide and she asked me for my last piece. Did I give it to her? You bet I did. She said it was even better than her California roll that ended up having to be taken home because not too long afterwards she was stuffed.
UNTIL...she had noticed the picture of the mochi ice cream in the menu and had asked about that too. Our server, who was so sweet to us all, went searching for the mochi but could only find chocolate and black sesame. Those, diced into smaller squares with some whipped cream and sprinkles--complete with a flowery paper drink umbrella--made the dish immediately jump to the forefront of that little girl's attention as soon as she came back to the table! She actually clapped her hands with glee and dug right in!!
Our wonderful server, the great food and the above and beyond attitudes of everyone there is why we keep coming back again and again.

Incredible go-to sushi and hibachi spot. Friends and I have been coming here for years, they never miss. All components of any sushi has always been so fresh. They have a chefs special menu that rotates pretty often, which are very unique. Ordered the Santa, dynamite, and spicy salmon roll. Wife got the hibachi. We also ordered the jalapeño sandwiches, which were flavor bombs! Both of us were really satisfied. Prices are reasonable, especially with how filling the rolls are. Will return if ever visiting Jax!
Love this place. Good food. Good enough choice. Can be pricy, but for lunch for example-good food and good money. You can choose drinks like coke, diet coke, sprite, fanta, pink lemonade or dr peper, Japanese soda or orange juice or milk. Also sweetened/unsweetened tea or green tea. Good enough choice of cocktails. Hibachi, soba, udon noodles, bento boxes, sushi and rolls. Depends on your preferences.
Absolutely love this place!! When we go we usually get the same server each time her name is Bing and she is fantastic. The food is always on spot and delicious and just a heads up you will have to wait for it as it is cooked to order. Drinks are always good and the place is always clean.
