The atmosphere was amazing and so were the Margs. That's about the extent of it. They were out of beef? Wheres the BEEF? Everything needed salt except the rim of our glasses. We had taco salads. No taste at all. I thought we all had covid. I love Mexican food and we were referred to this joint. They need to work on their chip and salsa game. I mean simple blocking and tackling people. Other than that the service was slow
Came for a birthday. Large group and we sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere and the DJ. The music was loud and we liked it. If you’re looking for a quiet place to talk, this isn’t it. But if you want to sing along to the music and occasionally jump up and dance, this is your place. The service was AMAZING! Jeremy kept everyone’s orders straight. Was attentive without hovering. Out of multiple tickets he got everyone’s correct. Food came out fast and delicious. The kids had chicken tenders and fries but tacos and quesadillas were also on the menu. We had steak fajitas, pork belly tacos and achiote chicken tacos plus Moscow mules. Everything was delicious. A great time was had by all. The churros was good but come with Nutella so careful if you have a nut allergy.
Loved the food, service, and the atmosphere! Payton took great care of us at the table. All the bartenders in the speak tiki were amazing! All the drinks were so good. And Rachel, the GM, checked in on us multiple times and was so friendly. Excited for new options in the Waterside area!
We visited after a long work day and were hungry and tired on a Thursday night . Apparently, it was lady's night and the place was popping. They had a live DJ and they had the music pumping. Margaritas were great and refreshing on a warm night. I ordered the birria tacos and oddly enough, didn't come with beans and rice even though the menu said they did. I asked about them and the server said ,those don't come with it, didn't explain why. Tacos were very flavorful and coworker ordered the burrito. He said it was great and we shared the chicharon with Tosten as an appetizer, that was delicious. Overall, great experience
I had high hopes when I decided to dine at Agave Bandido, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival at 6:10 PM, I was optimistic about enjoying a delicious Mexican meal. However, my optimism quickly waned as time passed without any attention from the staff. It wasn't until 6:30 PM that a server finally acknowledged our presence, leaving us waiting uncomfortably for 20 minutes.
Once our order was taken, the agonizing wait continued. Forty minutes later, our food arrived, and the disappointment only grew. The tacos, supposedly a highlight of the menu, were disappointingly dry, lacking any semblance of flavor or moisture. Even worse, the guacamole, a staple of Mexican cuisine, was shockingly bland, devoid of any seasoning or freshness.
Throughout the ordeal, the service remained sluggish, with little effort made to apologize for the extended wait times or the lackluster quality of the food. As someone who appreciates authentic Mexican cuisine and values attentive service, my visit to Agave Bandido was a regrettable experience.
In summary, I cannot in good conscience recommend Agave Bandido based on my disappointing visit. With so many other excellent dining options available, I urge potential patrons to explore elsewhere for a more satisfying and enjoyable Mexican dining experience. I can’t fathom how this place has 4.6 stars in rating.
Fun place for lunch. Inside, bar or outdoor dining. Nice view of water. Cute interior. We enjoyed the veggie fajitas and quesadillas. Very good. Secret door to upstairs bar. Wonderful services!
The reviews are definitely misleading!! Believe me when I say the food is very bland and not fresh at all. I don’t understand the reviews not even the drinks were good lol. Service extremely slow. Boy was I disappointed coming here..
This was my first time here but it definitely won’t be my last. Juan Torres made the BEST guacamole I ever had!! The food was amazing and had lots of flavor.
I definitely will be back!!
