Best WLM Reviews
Ordered Agave Azul for Northside Choir banquet for 130. Delivered hot and fresh. On time. Warming racks and utensils extra for a small fee. Price was great. Would definitely recommend if looking to feed a crowd.
Best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. We stop by every time we go back & forth from Cape Cod to Florida & reversed, in Roanoke. Excellent service, food & prices. Highly recommended.
First off the outside of the restaurant looks really nice. Lots of parking space and the area is rather clean. The building looks like an hacienda and definitely gives off an authentic feeling. Someone definitely took their time with creating the design. First thing I noticed upon walking in was the artwork and a large dining space on both sides. The restaurant just opened and several seats were already taken- the locals definitely know this place is a gem. I ordered the veggie fajitas and just WOW. The amount of food I received vs the price I paid is astonishing. I definitely was unable to eat the whole meal by myself and paid less than 15bucks. You cannot get prices like these now adays anywhere. Meal came with rice, refried beans, cheese and tortilla with a whole other plate of roasted veggies, a full blown salad with guac and chips and salsa! Not only was it enough food for both my partner and i to be extremely stuffed, but the taste was also awesome. Veggies had a good amount of flavor and chips tastes homemade and not greasy. Will recommend this place to everyone.
They are within walking distance to the Hampton Inn and the Fairfield Inn(where I'm staying). I saw they had a vegetarian fajita option so gave it a go. The portions were huge! I ordered it without sour cream or cheese. The veggies had a lot of flavor and had to ask for some extra tortillas to use up more of them.
It seems most mexican restaurants in this area of the country are afraid to use spices, and their salsas are usually almost ketchup like. Not here! Their salsa was very tasty and had a little hint of heat. I enjoyed it a lot.
They also have a full bar and bar seating if you prefer that.
I love their food and they're always friendly but the past 3 times I've gotten takeout they short me on chips big time. Not sure how this is supposed to be enough chips for a large cheese dip and 2 meals that was $40. And I always tip at least 20%.
I’ve been here multiple times with my husband and the food and service has been excellent. I came in my my granddaughters and have received the worst service. It took forever to get our order, then the food took extra long to be served. I could understand if they were busy but the place was almost empty. The server wasn’t friendly and I felt as if my table was an inconvenience for him. I tip over the 20% but today it will be based on service and nothing more. I feel $5 is too much for the tip. This server could have easily made an easy $20 as a tip. 23% of my check is $15.55.
We stopped here on a return trip from North Carolina. Outside was very inviting as was the decor of the entire eatery. We selected the beef and chicken enchilada, a beef combo plate, and of course a quesadia for the youngest. Our table was provided with warm chips and a delicious mild salsa that even our finicky youngest liked. Entrees were served quickly, and were wonderful. The guacamole were especially tasty and I would have enjoyed more of it. Our waiter never smiled and must have been having a really bad day. I didn't let this influence my tip as everything and everyone else was to our liking. The best laugh? Two of the bathroom stalls had cutouts in the door to open past the toilet! I guess that's what happens when you don't hire a professional tradesman.
Was tempted to post but gave this goof a laugh.
We usually love this place. My husband loves their shrimp tacos and I love their veggie taquitos. However, this is the second time someone in our family has got food poisoning after eating chicken here. Last summer my sister had terrible food poisoning after having chicken tacos, and 2 days ago my son had chicken tenders and became very sick within a few hours. It’s disappointing because the food is delicious, but we just can’t risk eating here again.
